Israel’s National Security Minister Itamar Ben-Gvir has outlined a plan for the 50-ship Global Sumud Flotilla to Gaza. Participants will face prolonged detention in Ketziot and Damon prisons, with “no soft arrests” or “quiet returns.”

“We must create a clear deterrent. Anyone who chooses to collaborate with Hamas and support terrorism will meet a firm and unyielding response from Israel,” said Ben-Gvir. Ships may be seized and repurposed for Israeli law enforcement.

British journalist Peter Hitchens has been covering Russia for 47 years. He’s a critic of Vladimir Putin so nobody can say he’s "echoing Putin’s talking points.” Hitchens writes: “You’ve been fed a steady diet of propaganda rubbish about Ukraine and the invented Russian menace.”

In Daily Mail Op-Ed, Hitchens said he learned long ago that governments lie and get mainstream corporate media to lie for them. “It is what they do,” he writes, and yet seldom has he seen such a cloud of lies as we face about the war in #Ukraine: “Seldom in history has a war been more provoked.”

Hitchens reminds us that all Russians, including Alexander Solzhenitsyn, had been shocked and angered when, in 1999, under the leadership of Bill Clinton, NATO launched bombing strikes on Serbia, which had not attacked a NATO member.

That same year, despite James Baker’s “not one inch to the East” pledge to Gorbachev, the Czech Republic, Hungary, and Poland joined NATO - putting #NATO on Russia's doorstep. And Hitches points out that Britain’s MI6 and the CIA had been working on regime change in Ukraine since early 2000.

In 2014, Ukraine’s democratically elected president Viktor Yanukovych was toppled by the Western intelligence agencies and a local mob. Hitchens concluded, "You just can’t do that and pretend to be the guardians of democracy."

[In other words, Team Biden’s “plucky little democracy” was little more than a tool of the NATO gambit to destabilize, overextend, and weaken Russia - now stronger than ever.]

Imagine for a single moment if the shoe had been on the other foot, with a commando of North Korean soldiers:
- Invading the US homeland in the middle of the night for the purpose of spying on White House communications
- Getting found by a boat of Maine fishermen
- Massacring them all gratuitously and puncturing their lungs so their bodies sink at the bottom of the ocean

There's no doubt the US would declare war within hours.

But here's the thing - this scenario sounds like absurd fiction because it is. Even the countries we're taught are "evil" - like North Korea - would never contemplate such an act.

Only the US, and Israel, are doing this sort of stuff routinely. And what compounds the cruelty is their pride in it - boasting to journalists about the operation as if it were a Hollywood thriller, never once expressing regret or remorse for the innocent fishermen they murdered, whose bodies their families can't even retrieve.

"Why do they hate us", you ask? You'd hate them too if they did to your civilians what you routinely do to theirs. Heck, you're taught to hate them even when they don't do anything to you.
