While on holiday in the Canary Islands last week, I had to laugh at this translation into English.

Apparently the dish is usually translated as "Poor Man's Potatoes", but "Poor Potatoes" brings completely different connotations. Hire a translator, people!

"Les bottines commencent à suivre les babines" – a French Canadian proverb I'd never encountered until today's translation, meaning "they're starting to walk the talk". What a great way of putting it!
