GERMS🦠🦠🦠 washing hands is so important and to give the children a visual explanation, we conducted an experiment to show the importance of washing hands. @foxfield
We have started the new term with lots of enthusiasm, we have introduced our new core text, The Proudest Blue, by Ibtihah Muhammad. A book that focuses on identity and diversity. The children have already worked really hard ,making predictions and recalling facts.👏👏 @foxfield
We had a lovely end of term trip to Maritime museum and Greenwich park. We all had a lovely time. The children as always demonstrated exceptional behaviour for the entire day. @foxfield
Arts Fortnight @foxfield ! Loving being back this week! At the start of the week I worked with @FoxfieldMeadow, TreeTops and a The Groves to create two large collaborative outcomes inspired by their themes of music! 🎶🎵 messy but musical work all round!
Arts fortnight is fully underway in Meadow class, children have been fully immersed. Just a little sneak peak in to our final art outcome! Can anyone guess what we’re creating? 🤔💭
We had a great start to the morning, participating in our new sensory circuit. Alerting, organising and calming activities supporting sensory diet needs, preparing them for a focused morning of learning. Well done to all the children involved. 👏 @foxfield@FFinclusion
Consolidating our maths learning this term, we finished with a trip to Tesco. Applying our money skills, knowledge and developing essential life skills. The children showed respect and displayed all the Foxfield values whilst out. We are so proud of them all. @foxfield
What a fantastic afternoon, the children were impeccably behaved and had such a great experience with the animals. The children were given the opportunity to hold, and stroke a variety of exotic animals, snakes, chinchilla’s giant cockroaches and owls. @foxfield
In English the children have been working hard using their senses to describe a scene, taken from our core text invisible. Scribing sentences on a white board supports editing and making corrections independently. @foxfield
We enjoyed the sun and practised our throwing and catching skill. Developing our collaboration skills we worked together in pairs and using the parachute. #handeyecoordination#collaboration@foxfield
Our new English core text is “The Invisible” todays lesson was to identify how the colours used by the author conveyed emotions. The children used their knowledge of the Zones of Regulation to identity the emotions in the book. @foxfield
The children enjoyed working on our class display, showcasing their hard work during working on our spring core text, Paddington we are very proud of their letters home . 👏👏 @foxfield
In PE, we have been developing hand eye coordination skills. We practised throwing and catching, then bat and ball control, moving from a bean bag to a ball as our confidence and control develops. @foxfield
During English this week, we have been using our senses to generate descriptive language. We taste tested, the items carried on the goods train in our core text, ‘Angus rides the goods train’, and described the taste, smell, and look of the foods. @foxfield
We have been investigation plants, how they grow, feed and survive. We can identify the 4 main areas of a plant and identify their basic needs. We have been waiting for our own seeds to go too ! @foxfield#science
Early morning Rise and Shine work, supports the children to regulate for the day, as well as teaching them important personnel information, such as there addresses and dates of birth. #regulation@foxfield
