Big thank you to @Chartwells_UK for running a brilliant food waste workshop for our Rights Respecting Ambassadors today. They explored the importance of reducing food waste and ended with a tasty stir-fry made from leftover vegetables!🥕🥦🌽@foxfield

As part of British Science Week, Year 5 explored the science behind filters! They made their own and tested which worked best! @foxfield

Year 5 took a trip to Woolwich Library today and were amazed by the huge selection of books available! They had the chance to browse, pick out something special and take a book home to enjoy. A brilliant way to encourage independent reading! 📖✨

In Science, we dissected a daffodil to examine its floral organs and understand their functions. Following this, we explored and described the life cycle of a flowering plant, from germination to pollination, fertilisation and seed dispersal. @foxfield

This morning, our Respecting Ambassadors met with a visitor from Chartwells to discuss what’s going well with our school dinners and suggest adjustments for our new menu. It was great to hear their ideas! @foxfield

This morning Year 5 and @FoxfieldYear4 have a very special visitor Krishna consolidating us on our learning in Himduism. Sharing personal experiences and how it connect Hindus to their daily lives. @foxfield

In History today, Year 5 tackled the importance of reliable primary and secondary sources today. They learnt that the best historians need both for success! @foxfield

Year 5 have loved their Autumn 2 DT journey, exploring the design process and creating fantastic pulleys! Check out our process wall showcasing their hard work and creativity!⚙️ @foxfield

In Science, we investigated which materials were irreversible and reversible. We tested sugar, salt, antiacids and coffeee and then presented our findings. @foxfield

Today we created our posters linked to our global theme of Sustainable Development. We included what key information is needed for our persuasive letter. Here’s a sneak peak of what our persuasive letter will include. #SustainableDevelopment @foxfield

Year 5 took part in the NSPCC Speak Out Stay Safe workshop, learning about different forms of abuse and how to recognise the signs. They were encouraged to speak out to a trusted adult or contact Childline if they ever feel worried. @foxfield
