Evening update has no substance. Some centres are going into one results day w/ results from the last still outstanding. Now worried the 31st deadline wont be met. My connection to this is a very hardworking & mature family member still left in limbo waiting for her grade.

@branwenjeffreys Also really concerned about the impact on GCSE results. Are these results delayed as staff work on GCSE results. Or can we expect similar issues w/ GCSE results because staff haven’t been available to check & ready the process due to these issues. Tomorrow will be a telling day!

So ICYMI from @ocrexams - so far between them & Pearson around 4,000 delayed results - looks like less than half for those in UCAS but still not known how many outstanding

@branwenjeffreys No nothing. The submissions for these qualifications is vast. The qualifications get moderated and externally verified. There should be no real reason for this delay. Certainly it could have been seen weeks ago. I wonder if staffing changes or computer systems? Very shocking!

There has to be a financial penalty. Part of the payment is to receive a grade at the end. A delay is a huge issue.

Unfortunately my experience of this through a family member is 5 days later and still waiting. If I was 5 days late after saying I hugely regretted not completing something I should have done on time but didn’t the consequences would be massive!

We delivered hundreds more results this afternoon across all subjects, and we are helping many individual students to liaise with universities and others to help them progress. We hugely regret the stress and uncertainty this has caused for students.

Having updated for @BBCRadio4 news on Btec /Cambridge Technical delays - with @tobyperkinsmp criticism lack of transparency + @AoCDavidH call for investigation - turning to other work in run up to #gcse results this Thursday. But colleagues will try to keep an eye on it

@ocrexams Still none of my class have received results, and we are now starting to loose out of accommodation/ uni spaces. Will there be compensation for those who’s futures you’ve ruined ?

I’ve spoken to an official @educationgovuk this morning & sharing more info with @ofqual too. Hoping both @Pearson_UK & @ocrexams will be more open today about numbers without results still & how many are being processed per day to give some sense of scale & timings.
