There are no cannons or bayonets nowadays ! All modern weapons have a software! For most countries, that software has usually been bought from great army companies of other developed countries!

The numbers from December: approximately 364 Turks died and 174 Greeks (a ratio of 2 Turks to 1 Greek). And 25,000 Turks abandoned their villages! “Terrorism,” according to our Turkish friend.
The numbers from Attila I and II: 568 dead Turks (498 soldiers and 70 Turkish Cypriots) and 5,000–6,000 Greeks, of whom around 455 were soldiers and the rest civilians (a ratio of 1 Turk to 10 Greeks). Approximately 180,000 Greek Cypriots were displaced! “We fucked them up… hahahaha…” according to the Turk!
The numbers don’t even compare!
The truth! The Greeks rebelled against the British in order to free themselves and unite with Greece! The Turkish Cypriots collaborated with the British because they dreaded union and preferred British occupation and partition! The British recruited Turkish Cypriots, and the police force became predominantly Turkish Cypriot until independence in 1960. With independence, the Turkish Cypriots received constitutional rights disproportionate to their population, while the Greeks still desired union — something the Turks feared. At the same time, both sides had paramilitary groups: EOKA and TMT.
The Cyprus problem has been an intractable issue, with the Turks themselves — from then until today — not wanting it to be resolved! December 1963 was a sad and tragic event that revealed the tense situation. Turkey’s invasion, however, was criminal and illegal, and the numbers prove it.
P.S.: During the period 1955–1959, EOKA killed more Greek Cypriots (those considered communists and traitors) than British and Turkish Cypriots combined.

Greece has every right to defend itself against a revisionist and imperialist Turkey that still illegally occupies 37% of the Republic of Cyprus, openly promotes the neo-Ottoman “Blue Homeland” doctrine, and maintains a formal casus belli against Greece should Athens exercise its sovereign right to extend its territorial waters to 12 nautical miles.
It is the height of hypocrisy for the same Turkey — which stations its largest amphibious force (the Aegean Army and the Marine Brigade in Foça) directly opposite the Greek islands — to complain about Greek defensive measures. Amphibious forces are by definition offensive instruments designed for projection of power and landings. In contrast, systems such as the Achilles Shield are purely defensive, designed to protect Greek airspace and territory from aerial and missile threats.
Only in the peculiar logic of Turkish policy can the aggressor condemn the defender for preparing to resist aggression. This is not a serious security argument — it is the ridiculous inversion of reality that has long characterised Ankara’s approach to the Aegean and Cyprus.

I totally agree with Greece’s position and arguments against banning the transport of Russian LNG, as it would be ‘all pain, no gain’. Moscow would simply find other buyers — mainly China — willing to take it, and would retain its energy income more or less as it is today.

Το Καποδιστριακό Ορφανοτροφείο της Αίγινας ήταν το ΠΡΩΤΟ δημόσιο κτήριο που έκτισε ο Ιωάννης Καποδίστριας προκειμένου να βρουν στέγη, τροφή και εκπαίδευση 600 ορφανά παιδιά που μεταφέρθηκαν στην Αίγινα μετά την Επανάσταση και τον Εθνικοαπελευθερωτικό αγώνα του 1821.
Στο ίδιο κτηριακό συγκρότημα στεγάστηκαν η Στρατιωτική Σχολή Ευελπίδων, το Αρχαιολογικό Μουσείο και το Εθνικό Τυπογραφείο.

Από το 1880 μέχρι και το 1985 τα κτήρια χρησιμοποιήθηκαν ως φυλακές.
Το 1985 οι φυλακές έκλεισαν.
Από τότε τα κτήρια εγκαταλήφθηκαν και ερημώθηκαν.
Παρά τις διαμαρτυρίες των κατοίκων της Αίγινας για την αξιοποίηση και τον εκσυγχρονισμό των ιστορικών κτηρίων-μνημείων της νεότερης ιστορίας της χώρας τίποτα δεν έγινε.

ΤΟ 2019 ΗΡΘΕ Η ΚΥΒΕΡΝΗΣΗ ΤΟΥ ΚΥΡΙΑΚΟΥ ΜΗΤΣΟΤΑΚΗ με ΥΠΟΥΡΓΟ ΠΟΛΙΤΙΣΜΟΥ ΤΗΝ ΛΙΝΑ ΜΕΝΔΩΝΗ.

Ξεκίνησαν οι μελέτες και ο σχεδιασμός αποκατάστασης των ιστορικών κτηρίων.
Βρέθηκε και αναγκαία χρηματοδότηση.
Το συνολικό ποσό στο οποίο συμπεριλαμβάνεται και η Γ' ΦΑΣΗ των έργων ανέρχεται στα 9.850.000 ευρώ μέσω των ΠΕΠ.
Έχει ήδη αποκατασταθεί, ανακαινιστεί και εγκαινιαστεί ένα σημαντικό μέρος του Καποδιστριακού Ορφανοτροφείου με την παρουσίαση εκθέσεων ζωγραφικής.
Το Καποδιστριακό Ορφανοτροφείο της Αίγινας θα λειτουργεί ως Διαχρονικό Μουσείο Ιστορίας και πολιτισμού.

Είχαμε πάρα πολύ καιρό να δούμε στις μεγάλες οθόνες ταινία που να ασχολείται με την ιστορία της Ελλάδας, αν και ο Όμηρος είναι το άπιαστο όνειρο κάθε σκηνοθέτη! Άπιαστο και για τον Νολαν! Ωστόσο, αξίζει να τιμηθεί αυτή η ελλιπέστατη προσπάθεια που τιμά τους Έλληνες και την Δύση καθώς πέραν των σοβαρών παραλείψεων/ και μυθοπλασιων του Νολαν -για τους δικούς του λόγους, χωρίς ωστόσο ασέβεια για το έργο - εμβαθύνει σε κάποιες σκηνές εξαιρετικά και φαίνεται πόσο πολύ η παραγωγή και ο ίδιος το προσπάθησαν!

Μακάρι οι Έλληνες (πλην της γκρίνιας) ή η Ευρώπη να φτιάξουν επιτέλους παραγωγές τέτοιες που να τιμήσουν όπως πρέπει τον Όμηρο μακριά από το woke Hollywood και τις παραλείψεις/ αχρείαστες επινοήσεις του 21ου αιώνα!
Το ΑΙ θα είναι μια κάποια λύση, αλλά πάντα θα είναι κατώτερο των μεγάλων παραγωγών!
