SPHL drama in Danville, where host Vermilion County never showed up for game vs Quad City. It's a forfeit win for QC. Most bizarre thing I've seen in 40 years covering pro hockey. QC bused in, skated warmups, lined up national anthem/faceoff, skated a lap, then saluted "crowd"

Goalies Kristian Stead and Jimmy Poreda have returned from loan to the ECHL.

We have also signed Scott Coash (F) and have acquired Colton Fletcher (F) from Macon to complete a previous trade.

In addition we have released Alec Calvaruso (G) and Elijah Wilson (F).

More trouble with the ice in Danville. The @VCBobcats had to cancel practice this past Tuesday due to poor ice conditions. Check the comments for a link to a local news article about the team filing an emergency motion to help resolve this.

@KennyLang1775 @FieldPassHockey @BullsBirmingham I’m fairly sure that the roster can only be 19 players though on opening night

@KennyLang1775 @FieldPassHockey @BullsBirmingham I know the roster limit is 18 and that’s including the two goaltenders. There is also a clause in the rule book that allows for one non uniformed player that can be on the bench. I am not 100% clear on how many players total a team can have under contract though.
