🇸🇪 Isak has the stronger creative numbers and proven Premier League pedigree, however is largely unknown in a Liverpool Kit.

🇧🇷 Thiago has the better availability, played over 500 more league minutes, and heads into the season after an outstanding campaign.

I think its closer than you think. I actually think Wirtz has the higher ceiling if he gets the No.10 role consistently. My concern with Szoboszlai is simply not knowing where he'll play week to week. For £7.0m, I'd rather have the player with the clearer route to attacking returns.

🚨 Why Dominik Szoboszlai is a tricky #FPL pick this season... 🤔

At £7.0m, the talent is obvious... but the role isn't.

📍 He could play:
➡️ RW
➡️ CM/DM
➡️ Even RB if needed

That uncertainty alone makes him difficult to back. His FPL output changes massively depending on where he's deployed. Liverpool used him all over the pitch last season, including 11 games at AM, 9 at CM, 8 at RB, 7 at RW and 2 at DM.

📊 xGI per 90 by role (25/26):
⚡ AM/RW: ~0.45-0.50
🔄 CM: ~0.30
🛡️ DM/RB: ~0.15-0.20

He definitely has routes to points:
🎯 Elite set-piece delivery
⚽ Potential penalty share (if Isak isn't on the pitch)
⏱️ Very likely to play heavy minutes

But if he's spending large spells in the 8 or filling in at right-back, you're relying almost entirely on dead-ball situations for returns.

For me, until Iraola's preferred role becomes clear, Szoboszlai is a wait-and-see rather than a buy. The upside is there, but the uncertainty is enough to look elsewhere.
