🚨🗣️Erling Haaland on Zion Suzuki's performance against Manchester City.
🗣️“He impressed me a lot today. I actually asked him for his shirt after full-time because he's a great goalkeeper. I don't do that often, but I felt he deserved it after the performance he gave.
He made the game so difficult for us. He was everywhere, saving shots, making himself big, and stopping chances that I thought were going in. He's like a wall! I was even surprised to see him so quiet throughout the game. He lets his performances do the talking.
People will talk about the attackers, but sometimes you have to give credit to the goalkeeper. Zion has incredible potential, and if he continues like this, he's going to become a very special player.”
🚨Malick Yalcouyé on his altercation with Declan Rice during Brighton’s 3-0 win over Arsenal:
🎙️ Reporter: “Malick, what happened between you and Declan Rice during the game?”
🗣️ Malick Yalcouyé: “I think he was frustrated because they were losing and they couldn’t score against us. I was running for the ball and he clipped me from behind.
I turned around and said, ‘You can’t score against us, but you can take backshots. That’s all you can do today.’ [laughs]
He came straight back into my face and said, ‘Try lifting the trophy first.’
I said, ‘Okay, we’ll see.’
After that, I just wanted to play. We were 3-0 up, so there was no reason for me to get distracted.
But even at the final whistle, when I was trying to walk away, he came over again and pushed me. I didn’t want to make it bigger than it was.
He can take the Premier League trophy if he wants.
We’ll take the three points.
Because at the end of the day, Arsenal didn’t score, our defence wasn’t beaten and Brighton leave with the win.
They can talk about trophies.
Tonight, we’re the ones going home smiling.”
