Early transfer talk. 💰
Grabbed Jackson with my only FT at £6.6m last night, before he ticked up to £6.7. Small win, but it adds up. 🤷♂️
Unpopular take: price value matters more than people think. Catching rises early is how you eventually afford the expensive under-25% differentials like Gabriel, Isak, or Barcola — without letting go of the ones you already have in your team. Risky? Sure, because he might feature midweek in the EFL Cup against Bournemouth, but around £7 I wouldn't have found this transfer as appealing as it was last night. Still, it's fun to play that game once in a while. 🎢
£3.3m banked now — flexible for whatever
comes next. Team value: £104m.

Need your help. 🙏
This gameweek I'll probably buy either a Bournemouth or a Liverpool asset. Only one makes the cut from this list:
🍒 Bournemouth: Silva, Hill, Tavernier, Rayan, Kroupi
🔴 Liverpool: Van Dijk, Jacquet, Gakpo, Barcola, Szoboszlai
Defenders and mids only. Who gets the nod, and why? 👇

@DomFpl I agree. Right now I'm 51% on Silva this week, and 49% on Tav, only because I also want to see if Kroupi plays more minutes and maybe I go for him instead of Tavernier in GW11.
@menafayez1 My team last week. I'm covered, but if there is someone obvious that can score maybe 10+ points this week, like Van Hecke's 15 pointer last GW, I'll buy, and probably bench Jackson.
@jtsc84 I think after yesterday game against Arsenal, Barcola could be first choice on that left side, where he plays clearly better. About Rayan, yes, this can be a real differential, but I'm not sure he is better than Tavernier. I'm 50-50 on this. 🤔
@GeorgeMega2 I like Barcola. He's playing better and better every match, but I'd say he is at 75% of his potential, still. Maybe I'd wait a few more weeks to get him.
GW9: 66 pts − 4 hit = 62 net. 🟢⬆️
First hit of the season, and it paid off. 🎯
Van Hecke 15 pts in for Ajer's 8: +7 for a -4, so +3 net.
Double digits: Van Hecke (15) and Konsa (10). Jackson and Rogers right behind on 9 points.
Captain? Haaland: 4 pts with the armband. Ouch. 😬
And the bench: 19 pts left there. De Cuyper 9, Calafiori 8. 🤦♂️
Egan, who started, returned 1. "Kinder" Mbeumo the same. 😅
Rank for now: 269k (↑68k). One game left, none of my players in it. 🤷♂️
Next up: I need a Bournemouth or Liverpool asset. Separate post coming, drop your picks there. 👀

Last move before the deadline, and it's 99% Ajer ➡️ Van Hecke. 🔄
That would be my first -4 of the season. Not taking it lightly.
Why: Spurs are the team I rate most likely to keep a clean sheet this GW, at home vs Palace. They could also score plenty, though I can't tell you exactly who will get the goals. Van Hecke is a real threat going forward too, so he has a shot at an attacking return on top of the CS.
Worth the hit? 👇

GW9 final team locked. 🔒
8 gameweeks, zero hits. Until now. 😅
🔄 João Pedro ➡️ Jackson (FT) — injury forced my hand 🤷♂️
🔄 Ajer ➡️ Van Hecke (-4) — Spurs at home vs Palace: clean sheet potential, plus real attacking upside!
£2.9m in the bank. Team value £104.4m.
Haaland (C), Palmer (VC).
Konsa starts over Calafiori. Calafiori has more attacking upside, but with that yellow flag I'm not sure he starts.
Is the first hit of the season worth it? 🤔 We'll know by Sunday.
Good luck everyone! 🍀

Your next differential defender is hiding in plain sight. 🕵️
Hill (£5.5m, Bournemouth) is owned by just 2% of managers.
Best budget defender in FPL last season. Right now? Most defensive contributions in the entire league, defenders AND midfielders. One of the safest long-term DEFCON bets out there.
He flies under the radar only because he's £0.5m pricier than teammate Silva. But money are not important... 😅
I'd say: don't overthink it!
Leeds at home in GW9 is a good starting point. If you want a real differential, this is your guy. 🎯
Anyone else already on him? 👇

GW9 — 0 FTs, £3.3m banked. 💰
Still not 100% sure if a -4 is needed for either Silva or Van Hecke. Leaning towards holding the squad as it is and reassessing for GW10.
Calafiori stays regardless of a possible £0.1m drop tonight or tomorrow — doesn't affect me either way, bought him at £5.5m so my selling price stays locked at £5.7m even if he drops to £5.9m.
Defense isn't pretty on paper, but: Ajer was rested in the EFL Cup last night (he only played 20 minutes at the end) and should start probably alongside Van den Berg vs Forrest at home. So a good DEFCON potential there. Egan can get at least 4 pts with DEFCON vs Ipswich at home. Konsa's in form too, even with a tough trip to Liverpool — he's had DEFCON returns this season as well.
Do you think a hit is needed in defense or, maybe midfield 🤔, or should I hold?

I agree about not taking a hit. Regarding De Cuyper, I'm not sure mainly because I'm almost sure I'm captaining Haaland and I'd like him to score at least a brace, but if I decide to captain a differential like Jackson, maybe I get De Cuyper in my starting line up. Thanks for the advice!
The timeline is full of mixed emotions.
Happy people - that have already done Pedro to Jackson.
