@tetsuoai@elonmusk fantastic 55th year round the sun. ☀️
you’re an astonishing inspiration to many people monitoring the situation like me. Let’s do 55 more years so you can witness Mars colonisation which has been your dream since you made the big bag from Zip2. ❤️
Steve Jobs explains the belief that separates builders from spectators.
Most people are trained to think:
"the world is the way it is"
"your life is just to live your life inside the world"
"try not to bash into the walls too much"
"have fun, save a little money"
Jobs says that is "a very limited life."
The shift is realizing that "everything around you that you call life was made up by people that were no smarter than you."
Once you see that, the job changes:
"you can change it"
"you can influence it"
"you can build your own things that other people can use"
"you can poke life" and "something will pop out the other side"
That is the founder's permission slip.
Not motivation. A practical operating belief.
Products, markets, org charts, pricing, regulations, habits, norms - they all look fixed until someone treats them as editable.
The useful question is not "what are the rules?"
It is: which wall are we assuming is permanent?
