Huge congratulations to Sam Davies from Fochriw Primary School, who achieved the fastest time in Wales for the 50m Freestyle for 8 years age group, 41.07 in seconds. Sam swims for Tredegar Club and set the time at the Abertillery meet in June. We are so proud of you Sam. @fcwpa

🕯️ Today we remember the Aberfan disaster, 21 October 1966 — a tragedy that claimed the lives of 144, including 116 children.
This afternoon, we spent time at Fochriw School reflecting, learning, and honouring their memory.
