After sleeping for over 1000 years, some lotus seeds discovered at an excavation site from Song Dynasty (960-1279) in Kaifeng, Henan have been successfully revived. Now 2nd-generation seeds are blossoming at Zhejiang University Museum of Art and Archaeology in Hangzhou.
