I’m struggling to see why the UK needs digital ID. Employers already have to do right-to-work checks using passports, driving licences, visas, NI numbers & birth certificates.

Digital ID won’t stop cash-in-hand jobs or illegal work, so what problem is it solving?

That’s the kind of stuff they prioritise.

Meanwhile:
– GP appointments are impossible
– Schools are falling apart
– Councils are going bankrupt
– The NHS is unsafe

Our system of government was designed centuries ago - long before the NHS, public education, or modern infrastructure even existed.

It’s no wonder it’s failing. Maybe it’s time we stopped patching it up and asked: is this really fit for today?
