@GBNEWS@RachelReevesMP is paid over £160k a year by taxpayers and still couldn’t do her own Budget without the PM’s help.
We’re footing the bill for this incompetence while people and businesses are squeezed. Reeves and the PM are failing the country - they need to go.
@Keir_Starmer You promised easier homeownership - yet from 1 April 2025 you slashed the SDLT relief threshold for first-time buyers from £425,000 to £300,000.
We beat the cut-off by the skin of our teeth, or we’d have been hit for thousands more. Don’t pretend this is helping people.
@RupertLowe10 Politics isn’t leadership anymore, it’s become juvenile playground drama on our screens.
The whole lot need clearing out and replacing with people who actually know the areas they’re in charge of, not career politicians trading insults.
@Keir_Starmer We don’t need Digital ID.
We need an NHS that isn’t crippled by unsafe IT & systems that don’t even talk to each other. Billions should go into fixing what millions rely on daily.
@Keir_Starmer why don’t you see this?
Meanwhile, the time, money & resources needed for this scheme could be far better spent fixing the NHS & rebuilding public services.
Those are the areas crying out for investment, not shiny new ID projects that duplicate what we already have.
I’m struggling to see why the UK needs digital ID. Employers already have to do right-to-work checks using passports, driving licences, visas, NI numbers & birth certificates.
Digital ID won’t stop cash-in-hand jobs or illegal work, so what problem is it solving?
@AngelaRayner We’ve got 700,000+ empty homes in the UK - enough to house 1.5 million people? What’s @UKLabour plan for those, before spending billions building more?
@Keir_Starmer Why push 100k new builds when 700k+ homes already sit empty?
If you really want to help first-time buyers, fix that & bring back real support schemes-instead of moving the goalposts by slashing the stamp duty threshold.
Dear @RachelReevesMP, another tax on homes is not the answer. Households are already under pressure, and taxpayers should not be asked to pay for political failures.
Please focus on reducing waste and driving sustainable growth instead.
@Keir_Starmer If the BBC can expose violent smuggling gangs operating inside the UK, why haven’t our police caught them yet?
Surely targeting the organisers here would slow the entire operation. You said you’d smash the gangs - so why are they still active on our soil?
@narindertweets I genuinely don’t know who thinks it’s okay to have a career snatching phones - surely that’s what we should be tackling, not blaming people for using their phones in public.
Public safety shouldn’t mean living in fear. It should mean not tolerating crime.
@AngelaRayner - You’re pushing for 1.5M new homes while 700K+ in the UK sit empty. Why take from our countryside & pour money into endless new builds?
Wouldn’t it make more financial and environmental sense to fix what already exists? https://t.co/JWpycfmzc4
@PolitlcsUK@LibDems@mpmwilko The problem isn’t just Max - it’s the whole system.
Too many MPs chasing headlines and party approval instead of dealing with what’s right in front of them.
Career politics is holding this country back.
@PolitlcsUK@LibDems@mpmwilko
Homelessness is rising in Cheltenham.
Charities are stretched.
The town centre’s in visible decline.
But you’re reporting Farage to Ofcom? Less media policing, more leadership where it’s actually needed please.
We get things like £1.5 million for chess - because @RachelReevesMP played it as a child.
That’s the kind of stuff they prioritise.
Meanwhile:
– GP appointments are impossible
– Schools are falling apart
– Councils are going bankrupt
– The NHS is unsafe
Our system of government was designed centuries ago - long before the NHS, public education, or modern infrastructure even existed.
It’s no wonder it’s failing. Maybe it’s time we stopped patching it up and asked: is this really fit for today?
We’re being led by career politicians with no real experience in the systems they manage.
They’re not trying to fix anything - they’re just protecting their own careers, waiting for their next promotion or media round.
@Keir_Starmer@Keir_Starmer, you hailed your trade deal with Jaguar Land Rover as a win for UK jobs.
But now JLR is cutting 500 jobs due to financial pressures.
So tell us, Keir - do you take credit for that too?
