It’s called common sense.
The DUP have always known this march could never go ahead but they pushed it anyway.
93% of the marches the Orange Order apply for are granted - many of them through nationalist areas.
A New Ireland WILL be based on respect and accommodation - we will never seek to dominate unionism in the way we were dominated.
That’s the point - accommodation and respect go both ways.
Everything has changed and will keep changing.
Nor did it come from a Secretary of State who spent nearly a fortnight disingenuously insisting his hands were tied. It came from the community of the Garvaghy Road, as well as thousands of ordinary people standing with them over the past two weeks.
I make no apology for standing with Garvaghy Road residents. Peaceful civil disobedience isn't criminality.
I'm now seeking legal advice. Standing up for what's right is never wrong.
@squinteratn 1. Sceptic in me wonders who really pulls strings. Bryson, Lockhart etc aren't that bright. Kitson funding rival gangs in Kenya in 50s, MRF in Belfast in 70s - steps to create internal chaos to make UK look like stable option Wouldn't
@MartinSLewis *Maybe follow up on that special you did last year about investing in index funds with an update telling folks to get their money out t.f 👍
👀 This chart, from the tail end of my explainer here 👇 might be about to become one of the most important issues in UK politics.
How and why did the government allow its emergency stockpiles of diesel to drop to one of the lowest levels in the developed world...?
🦠💥WATCH: 'It's green, it stinks, and it's toxic.' Gerry Carroll brings blue-green algae water from Lough Neagh into Stormont
🎥@pb4p MLA @GerryCarrollPBP brought a jar of blue-green algae water from Lough Neagh into the Assembly chamber.
During his statement, he challenged Executive ministers 'to face up to the crisis.'
He was reminded by Speaker Edwin Poots not to use "props" in the chamber.
More on-air.
There can be no place for violence or intimidation in our politics or our communities.
Thinking of Michael Healy-Rae and his family following the shocking assault on him yesterday.
Wishing Michael a full and speedy recovery.
Anti-immigrant protesters have been directing abuse at Britain’s leading blindness charity, the RNIB, accusing it of helping small boat migrants. They mixed it up with the RNLI. Reminiscent of the time in 2000 when a mob daubed ‘paedo’ on the office of a paediatrician in Wales.

It looks as if the world is about to be engulfed in another spike in the cost of living.
Here's my 13m explainer on how we avoided the worst of the energy shock this summer, and why we might not be so lucky this winter...👇
The debate on Irish unity didn't need or want Trump.
His words prove that the idea is out there and present (his addled brain responds to such stimuli) and that DUP sucking up was mad.
But he is a lunatic and not to be sanitised to aid a cause with its own logic and momentum.
