My goal at Pulpit & Pen all those years was to reform evangelicalism and foment ecclesiastical revolution.

Believing we had lost our way, I’ve spent twenty-five years diligently studying the Church Fathers, the Patristics, the Scholastics, the Reformers, and the Puritans.

These leaders lived during eras of anti-Jewish persecution, pogroms, and bitter religious rivalries. In their world and eras, hostilities between Jews and God’s real people, Christians, were palpable.

And yet, if you compiled a list of the Top 100 doctrinal concerns expressed by those theologians over the course of church history, “antisemitism” wouldn’t be on the list.

Not a whiff of outrage about it. Not a sermon of concern. Not a lecture given.

In fact, you’d find that virtually all of them would be condemned as “antisemites” by modern evangelicals. Their routine opinions on post-temple Judaism would drop the modern jaw.

And yet, we evangelicals are to believe in 2026 that “antisemitism” is some great sin and dire problem that the church must address and excise from our midst.

In fact, to listen to modern evangelical leaders, you’d think “antisemitism” was some grave error, some serious sin, worthy of mobilizing the religious establishment to eradicate it from the Body of Christ.

In the process, they condemn practically every historic Christian leader they’ve ever cited as an authority.

Meanwhile, evangelicals condemn this fake sin with an imprecise, ever-changing definition manufactured in the 19th century, redefined in the 20th century, and utterly meaningless in the 21st.

Along with bugbears like “toxic masculinity,” biblical patriarchy, xenophobia, “homophobia,” “transphobia,” and the cardinal sin of political incorrectness, aNtIsEMiTIsM is treated as some deep divine grievance.

This isn’t historic Christianity.

What we are experiencing is Post-War Liberalism and a pluralistic civil religion, only masquerading as Christianity. And it comes with its own commandments and verboten transgressions utterly unknown to our fathers.

By making “antisemitism” such a top concern, modern evangelical leaders are either more moral, righteous, and virtuous than Christians in ages past, or they’ve been “carried away captive by vain philosophy and empty deceit.”

The BIBLE calls it Palestine. So I call it Palestine. You should, too. It’s waaaay more accurate than “Israel,” and much less confusing.

The Bible uses this term in Exodus 15:14, Isaiah 14:29, Isaiah 14:31, and Joel 3:4.

In fact, it was Palestine while the Jews were still slaves in Egypt. That’s when they arrived - BEFORE the Hebrews.

The name, “Palestine,” is a linguistic corruption of Philistia, the ancestral home of the Philistines.

The Hebrew word is Pelesheth, the name of the Philistines’ territory. The King James translators rendered that word “Palestina.” The same Hebrew word appears elsewhere in Scripture, where the KJV renders it “Philistia.” These are different English renderings of the same biblical geographical name.

The Greek form of the name was already in use centuries before Christianity. Herodotus, writing in the fifth century BC, refers to “the part of Syria called Palestine” and to “Syrians of Palestine.”

Then, after suppressing the Bar Kokhba revolt in AD 135, Rome renamed it to the province of Palestine officially by Emperor Hadrian.

Jesus decreed the destruction of the Jewish Temple, God graciously used the Romans to carry it out, and with it went the Jewish nation altogether. Inside the Temple were their genealogies proving citizenship in the kingdom, and they were destroyed with it.

And in one sovereign blow of God’s breath, He erased the only thing that made the Jewish nation a nation, the equivalent of destroying a building in Washington containing our birth certificates, social security cards, and naturalization papers all at once.

In one mighty divine blow, God dispersed the ethnic lineage of Abraham to signal that there is a NEW and better Israel, the Christian Church (Ephesians 2:12-19, 1 Peter 2:9-10, Romans 9:6-8).

WE are the true Israel, Abraham’s only real heirs (Galatians 3:28-29).

Calling modern Jewish Palestine “Israel” is like calling Iran “Persia.” Not any more, it isn’t. Alexander the Great is long gone. The sons of Japheth have been largely replaced by the sons of Ham. Different people. Dead empire. Only the bones remain.

Iraq is not Babylon. Turkey is no longer the Byzantines. Spain is not the Visigoths. We do not refer to Mexico as the Aztec Empire.

Further, calling it “Israel” doesn’t make sense. Israel was the northern kingdom. Judah, where Jerusalem is, was the Southern Kingdom. It also includes the coastal areas that were territory of the Philistines. And the West Bank, which is NOT modern “Israel,” was the capital of ancient Israel.

Europeans who migrated to Palestine to cosplay as ancient Hebrews, who chose fake Semitic-sounding surnames as Ben Gurion demanded, and who learned a pig-Latin like, newly invented garbage tongue named “Hebrew,” do not get the right to pluck a name from antiquity that was bound to make Christians nostalgic, apply it to a region they commandeered by terrorism against the West, and demand we call it that.

2026年7月中旬,上述八人被控“诈骗罪”和“非法经营罪”，案件已移送法院。

2026年7月最后一周，锡安教案还在关押的八位家人的辩护律师和家属陆续收到了检察院提交给法院的起诉书。

根据起诉书，王林、高颖佳、尹会彬、王聪、刘桢彬、林书铖被指控“共同实施诈骗的犯罪行为”，称其“开展非法宗教活动，骗取信徒的‘奉献金’人民币1000余万元”。

王林、汪中、吴秋雨被指控“共同故意实施非法经营的犯罪行为”，称其“自2020年至2025年，未经许可利用信息网络非法销售涉宗教等内容的‘课程包’，收取非法经营款200余万元。”

起诉书进一步指控“王林在诈骗、非法经营犯罪活动中起主要作用，高颖佳、尹会彬在共同诈骗犯罪活动中起主要作用，是主犯，其他人是从犯。”

针对以上指控，已于本月初被释放的锡安教会创会主任牧师、锡安圣经学院（ZBI）董事会主席金明日牧师在近日接受媒体采访时指出：“教会是否供养愿意服事主的传道人，是由执事会和长老会决定的。我们的传道人不是为了牟利，更没有在牧养活动用欺骗的手段，使教会的信徒亏损。” 因此，“诈骗罪”不成立。

“ZBI是锡安教会内部设立的圣经学院。2018年以前，锡安教会曾与其他家庭教会合作开展神学教育。教会遭打压后，为避免其他神学院受到牵连，传道人和教会骨干培训转到教会内部进行。圣经学院部分课程收取300元登记费。这笔钱不是学费，而是希望学员对培训委身投入。部分学员完成课程后，登记费还会退还，学院大部分开支由教会奉献承担。” 因此，“非法经营罪”不成立。

办案部门把教会牧养中的奉献、牧者供养和内部宗教教育列入刑事案件，相当于把中国家庭教会长期存在的宗教活动刑事化。这不仅是对中国宪法保障公民信仰自由的公然践踏，更是对上帝神圣律法和至高权威的狂傲僭越。

起诉书中声称有被害人、证人的陈述。实为部分信徒受到办案人员误导甚至胁迫，以至在恐慌中提供了不实的证言。这些信徒愿意重新作证，说明教会没有欺骗他们，也没有通过牧养使他们遭受经济损失。不仅如此，锡安教会的众多会友和锡安圣经学院的许多学员皆可作证：奉献不是“诈骗”，圣经培训不是“非法经营”。

锡安教案案发至今,多名辩护律师遭司法行政部门施压，部分律师受到停业处罚，张凯律师被吊销执业证书。中国当局应停止干预律师依法履行辩护职责，保障被告人的公平审判权。

A continuidade étnica não é continuidade religiosa. São Paulo já tinha resolvido isso: o Israel de Deus não é segundo a carne.
