@OneJoblessBoy “Love may not pay bills, but entitlement isn’t a relationship plan either.
If being ‘her man’ costs $7,000 a week, that’s not partnership—that’s a transaction.
Real relationships are built on honesty, shared responsibility, and growth, not weekly invoices.
Preferences are fine.
“If it was easy, everybody would do it”; or l’ll hear Soji Pitan say “YOU’VE SIGNED UP FOR WAR”;
or l’ll hear Joe Rogan say “Fuck your excuses”
It works everytime.
I kid you not, on some days that I feel tired or lethargic, I’ve programmed my mind to relive statements from some of the people I listen to often, calling me out.. I can literally hear Jocko Willink telling me “You obviously don’t want it enough.”; or l’ll hear Jordan Peterson
say
“Embrace suffering, there’s no other way to find meaning”;
or l’Il hear Apostle Selman say “Don’t pamper yourself, lock your door & flog it out with destiny”;
or l’ll hear David Goggins say “Who’s gonna carry the boats?? You don’t know me son!!”
or l’ll hear Eric Thomas say
@Esmart26 “Money milestones aren’t universal timelines.
At 25, some are building capital, some are building skills, some are rebuilding life.
Value isn’t measured by your bank balance.”
then rebuilding trust must come before relocating. That may mean counseling, clear financial openness, and time not pressure.
Don’t rush a decision out of pride or pain.Don’t ignore the breach either.Heal the trust first, then decide on the house.A home without trust is just wall
This isn’t really about the house.
It’s about trust, partnership, and dignity.
You carried the family financially for years. When things fell apart, you downsized together and struggled or so you thought.
After NYSC, I married my wife. We moved to Lagos, rented a 3-bedroom flat, had two kids, and I paid all house bills even after she started working. When I lost my job, we downsized to a single room and still struggled with rent, While looking for my national ID one day, I found receipts of blocks, cement, wiring, roofing, tiles, and a borehole, she had secretly built a house, I confronted her, she said she was waiting for the “perfect time” to tell me. I feel betrayed and broken, The house is ready. She’s begging us to move in, but I’ve refused, should I move in with her or not?
Before moving in or deciding not to there has to be honest, uncomfortable conversation:
1.Why was it hidden for so long?
2. What fears or beliefs drove that decision?
3. How will finances and transparency work going forward?
If she truly wants the family to move in,
There’s a version of you that must step into the reality of your visions & aspirations; if you don’t evolve into that version, you’ll never get there.
That is what is at stake here. That’s just how it is. When it comes to the laws of cosmos, there’s no favoritism.
In everything you do, l beg you.. I really beg you.. Don’t joke with mental transformation.
Fight that limiting mindset with everything you have. It is so
important. It’s why we open shop here everyday posting videos & writing think-pieces.
There’s a reason most of the adult Israelites who came out of Egypt didn’t make it into the promised land.
The mentality of a slave & the oppressed cannot perpetuate ownership; so God waited for a new generation that didn’t have a victim mentality to come into maturity.
