@christophersaum So yeah, I don’t waste my time with decks anymore. I when buy build a deck when I can build an interactive website based completely on my source code that allows you to actually fuck around with it.
Function beats deck every time.

@christophersaum I still think Decks are—not that it’s stupid.
It's that I can't reliably trust the audience to properly visualise the entirety of the concept properly.
That's definitely a me thing, not a them thing. Communication with most humans has always been difficult for me.
@joshelman@Basti The minute I start belittling the people around me who made my vision possible or start thinking that I'm better than anybody else, I want it to be known: that's the minute that I expect 20 fucking people to just full-on jump me and kick some fucking sense into me
@joshelman@Basti Fair. Again, fair.
But I think it is important that we, as a society, hold people to account for they're bullshit. At least move it forward, regardless of the impact you can have on history.
I'm absolutely one of those who's going to have an outsized impact on history, BUT...
@joshelman@Basti Fair point.
For me, my hero is was and always will be my father. He was a good man. Steve was not.
He wasn't something I think we should aspire to. You can be a genius visionary and have a real hand in shaping the future, and still treat people with kindness and respect.
@joshelman@Basti I don't think we need Jesus in tech.
We just need to believe in ourselves, believe what's possible and get to fucking work.
Set a vision for the future we want and refuse to accept anything else.
@joshelman@Basti He had a prescience about him, and he cast a large shadow.
but you say that he was the driving force leading the industry forward. I think that minimizes the work, efforts, sweat, blood, and tears of number of incredible people together, which make this industry what it is.
@vahidf24@Evalyze_ai@forecastr@ThePageform You know it's 2026, almost 2027
And we can literally have AI code us anything we want. Why the fuck are you still using a deck?
Did you invent the time machine and sell it to investors in 1897?
