@justindotnet@BillRossello@AlfredENeuman13@NVTAuthority @jobaker4 @DASHBus There were several statements in the tweet, and we are down to one alleged lie. Progress. Dismissal rate seems way too low to be dismissing members for mere disagreement. The admins know more but the zany doxx, fake FB IDs, trolling/instigating, ad hominem, etc. are legendary.
@justindotnet@BillRossello@AlfredENeuman13@NVTAuthority @jobaker4 @DASHBus Curious you won't or can't say what the lie is. Elected officials should never be comfortable calling a constituent a liar in public, especially when refusing to identify what the purported lie is.
@justindotnet@iamjmm Good article. Says that "nearly all politicians across the commonwealth are in favor of the deal" including "local officials" and said "mini-Manhattan" would result. But now HQ2 is in question. What this all means is an open question.
@justindotnet@iamjmm We strutted about attracting HQ2, spent a lot in anticipation, and now the 25k jobs that threatened affordable housing are in question. That will obviously have impact, extent still unknown.
@justindotnet@iamjmm Read the articles. There were a lot them, some quoting you. The newsletter explains dense housing policies resulting from HQ2, but it seems it was just hyperbole and opportunism. It's ok, touted at the time and now we don't know.
@justindotnet@iamjmm Your monthly campaign letter literally tied future housing and Amazon HQ2 together, consistent with contemporaneous news and quotes. COG report on ALX did too. Good to know that it is all just hyperbole.
@justindotnet@iamjmm "While the paired announcement of Amazon and Virginia Tech presents risks for affordability in the region, it also provides some critical opportunities:" It then lists dense housing policies. It's really ok, there will be some impact, we don't know extent.
@justindotnet@iamjmm The next two paragraphs say "Yet these economic development "wins" have served to shine a light on an issue that has bedeviled our City and this region for decades. As the region's job supply has grown, the housing supply has not sufficiently grown to match," followed by:
@justindotnet@iamjmm@VirginiaHsg That is part of the entire deal, but ok. So you are saying Amazon's decision for National Landing was not really all that big a deal, and if Amazon scales back or drops its plans, that too has no or negligible impact?
@justindotnet@iamjmm The contemporaneous reports say something else. You tweeted about "Amazon/HQ2 affordable housing money." That's ok, it was a huge project and potential boon with 25,000 people added. The "pause" will obviously have impact, don't know extent.

Tonight, Council will be considering whether to extend affordable housing financing to support the preservation of 326 units.
This will be the first use of the new @jbgsmith Social Impact Fund in the region AND the first use of @VHDA ‘s Amazon/HQ2 affordable housing money.
@iamjmm@justindotnet Great question. We will not know until Amazon decides to resume or scale back, and what is specifically affected. The mayor tied the Amazon project and housing plans together directly. There were quite a few pieces on that at the time.

@justindotnet@mlaw91@BillRossello The city hires consultants for, well, just about everything. I seriously doubt that the cost per employee has been outpacing inflation since 2006. I will look into that.
