🇬🇧 Police officer found guilty of aiding machete gang that cut off victim’s hand

Alice Dobson, a 31-year-old West Yorkshire Police Community Support Officer, has been found guilty of leaking confidential operational information to a gang behind a horrific machete ambush in Bradford that left one man with his hand cut off.

She shared details of the police investigation with Rahees Khan, 43, one of five men convicted of conspiracy to murder.

On May 12, 2025, victims Zayad Khan and Usama Khan were rammed by three vehicles on Tickhill Street, Bradford, and ambushed with machetes. Usama suffered severe neck wounds, while Zayad’s left hand was severed and his right leg partially amputated. Surgeons later successfully reattached his hand.

Rahees Khan, Mohammed Waqqas Khan, Hanzalah Saladin, Adam Takolia, and a fifth unnamed individual were all convicted of conspiracy to murder.

Sweden's Parliament has approved a constitutional amendment explicitly criminalizing Holocaust denial.

The legislation extends existing provisions against incitement to hatred to cover the denial, justification or gross trivialization of genocide, crimes against humanity and certain other international crimes, subject to the law's conditions.

The constitutional changes will enter into force on January 1, 2027.

Qatar is pressing ahead with a major expansion of its state-owned Al Jazeera media network despite a 42% decline in government revenue during the first half of 2026 and reported operating-budget cuts of up to 30% across government departments.

The network announced on October 29 that it would launch Al Jazeera Now, a new 24-hour breaking-news channel, introduce 33 new programs, expand its digital operations and invest in artificial intelligence infrastructure.

Al Jazeera English is also pursuing a five-year international expansion strategy targeting the United States, Africa and Asia. Its managing director, Issa Ali, described the U.S. as one of the network's top priorities, with plans to build on its existing Washington operations.

The expansion comes as Qatar faces severe economic pressure from the war with Iran, which has damaged its energy infrastructure and disrupted liquefied natural gas exports. Government spending fell 14% in the first half of 2026, while overseas aid funding was reduced by approximately 85%.

Al Jazeera has for so long provided a platform for Islamist movements, particularly the Muslim Brotherhood. Its Arabic-language network prominently featured the late Yusuf al-Qaradawi, the Qatar-based cleric and influential Muslim Brotherhood-associated ideologue, whose religious program Sharia and Life reached audiences across the Arab world.

Al Jazeera also uses its international, particularly Western reach, to normalize Islamist political narratives among Western audiences, while giving sympathetic coverage to radical-left movements and causes.

A 36-year-old Tunisian woman living illegally in France and subject to an active deportation order (OQTF) has been arrested after threatening and assaulting two educators at Clément-Roassal preschool in Nice, southern France.

The suspect, whose two children attend the school, entered the principal's office armed with a handgun and a knife following a dispute involving a teacher.

She pointed the firearm directly at one victim's head and pulled the trigger twice in what was described as a mock execution.

She then pressed a knife against the principal's throat and demanded that the teacher involved in the dispute be brought into the office.

When the teacher arrived, the woman cocked the firearm, aimed it at her, and physically assaulted both educators.

The teacher was slapped repeatedly, while the principal suffered injuries causing severe jaw pain.

The suspect fled the school shortly before 10 a.m. but was subsequently located and arrested by police.

French MEPs Rima Hassan, who is also a Palestinian, and Manon Aubry, both members of the left-wing La France Insoumise (LFI) party, voted against a European Parliament resolution calling for an EU-wide strategy to counter Islamist infiltration and the influence of Muslim Brotherhood-linked networks.

The resolution, adopted on October 8, 2026, passed with 381 votes in favor, 167 against and 15 abstentions.

The proposal called for greater scrutiny of Islamist influence within European institutions, closer examination of organizations suspected of links to the Muslim Brotherhood, and stronger oversight of European Union funding.

The Muslim Brotherhood has been banned by several countries in the Middle East and North Africa such as Egypt, Saudi Arabia and the UAE but has received state support from Turkey and Qatar.

The EU dragged its feet until recently, but pressure has been building on Brussels to finally terror-list the Islamist organization.

‼️🇫🇷 𝗔𝗟𝗘𝗥𝗧𝗘 𝗜𝗡𝗙𝗢 — Un homme de 25 ans, d’origine libyenne et sous OQTF, a AGRESSÉ SEXUELLEMENT une jeune femme de 19 ans à Rambouillet, dans les Yvelines.

Une véritable scène d’horreur : l’individu s’était introduit discrètement dans l’immeuble de la victime avant de la saisir par le bras, de la plaquer au sol, de lui baisser son pantalon et sa culotte et de lui toucher les parties intimes.

La jeune femme a été sauvée par l’intervention de son ami, qu’elle avait eu le réflexe d’appeler. Ce dernier a dû briser la vitre de la porte d’entrée pour lui venir en aide.

L’agresseur avait déjà été interpellé pour EXHIBITION SEXUELLE dans un train à Dreux. Une OQTF lui avait alors été notifiée.

La victime souffre depuis d’un stress post-traumatique et vit recluse chez elle. L’individu a été condamné à 4 ans de prison et à une interdiction définitive du territoire français.

قنابل أميركية- سعودية فوق رؤوس أطفال اليمن
تكشف الغارة الجوية التي شنها التحالف بقيادة السعودية على منزل في محافظة صعدة، في 18 أكتوبر، عن الوجه الأكثر كلفة لتجدد التدخل العسكري السعودي في اليمن: مدنيون يدفعون حياتهم ثمن حرب لا يبدو أن لها أفقا سياسيا أو عسكريا واضحا.
فمقتل تسعة أفراد من عائلة واحدة، بينهم خمسة أطفال دون العاشرة، وإصابة 19 آخرين، بينهم 13 طفلا، ليس مجرد رقم جديد في سجل المأساة اليمنية، بل واقعة تستدعي مساءلة جدية للرياض عن طبيعة عملياتها ومعايير اختيار أهدافها.
الأكثر إثارة للقلق أن تحقيق صحيفة نيويورك تايمز، المدعوم بتحليل خبراء للأسلحة، أشار إلى استخدام قنبلة أميركية الصنع زنة 500 رطل ومزودة بنظام توجيه دقيق.
وهذا يطرح سؤالا لا تستطيع السعودية تجاوزه بمجرد الحديث عن الاحتياطات العسكرية: كيف تحول منزل سكني، تحيط به الأراضي الزراعية والمنازل، إلى هدف عسكري مشروع؟ وأين الأدلة على وجود نشاط حوثي داخله؟
إن تبرير استهداف المنطقة بوجود عمليات للتشويش الإلكتروني لا يكفي لتبديد الشكوك، خصوصا أن المتحدث باسم التحالف لم يقدم توضيحا يثبت أن المنزل المستهدف كان يضم تلك الأنشطة. كما أن استخدام أسلحة أميركية، بالتزامن مع تبادل واشنطن معلومات استخباراتية عن أهداف محتملة، يضع مسؤولية الدعم الدولي تحت المجهر.
لقد دفعت اليمن أثمانا باهظة خلال عقد من التدخل العسكري السعودي، من المجاعة إلى النزوح والدمار، فيما لم تنجح سنوات القصف في إنهاء نفوذ الحوثيين. واليوم، يبدو أن الرياض تعيد اختبار الأدوات ذاتها، بالنتائج الإنسانية نفسها تقريبا.
مواجهة الحوثيين لا تمنح أي طرف تفويضا مفتوحا لتعريض المدنيين للقتل.
على السعودية أن تقدم تفسيرا مستقلا وشفافا للغارة، وأن تحقق في المسؤولية عنها، لأن حماية الأمن لا يمكن أن تتحول إلى مبرر لتكرار مأساة اليمنيين.
