@LaDonnaPeachy My daughter got to meet John McCain a few years ago, when he visited the college she was teaching at. He entered her classroom and spoke to her and the students. She has a pic with him. He is on a new journey now, may he find peace.

Anthony Bourdain's book, Kitchen Confidently," was dark, funny and honest. From that time on I was a fan. His TV series took u along with him on a journey of food and life. Now he is on a new journey and may it be filled with light, love & peace.

Maybe we should look into the laws of the Netherlands where owning a gun is not a right but a privilege. Self defense is not a compelling reason for gun ownership and in that country only police r allowed to carry a weapon. Statistically violent crime is low.
