@DrNeilStone When I was a paramedic in Tucson in the early 80s I saw a case of diphtheria (I didn’t know it at the time) in unvaccinated child. It was horrifying to see the grey, thick mucous membranes obstructing her airway. She survived thanks to a very astute ED and ID team. Never again
