You shouldn’t knowingly sit down to exchange words with them. Let them be. But if they address you, you should be chuckling or ignoring. If they try to hurt you, you must hurt them as much as you can, and the men who rep them: come for everything they love until blood runs like tap water. Not out of malice but on principle. And express your cool—back again. But you can’t be playing on their own game.

Most men don’t have the wit and ruthlessness to pull such. The brutes aren’t intelligent. The intelligent are naturally naive and cowardly. Both aren’t socially savvy and integrated enough to embody these contradictions. Shame.
