Bishop Leads Faithful in Diocesan Corpus Christi Procession
More than 1,500 faithful joined Bishop David Konderla for the Diocese of Tulsa & Eastern Oklahoma's Corpus Christi Procession through the heart of Tulsa on the Solemnity of the Most Holy Body and Blood of Christ.
Following Mass at Christ the King Parish, priests, seminarians, deacons, religious sisters, Knights, dance troupes, and faithful from across the diocese publicly witnessed to their faith in the Eucharist as they processed 1.5 miles to Holy Family Cathedral in prayer, song, and adoration.
Thank you to all who participated, volunteered, and helped make this beautiful expression of Eucharistic devotion possible. May our love for Jesus in the Blessed Sacrament continue to grow and inspire others to encounter Him. ✨🙏

💬 Reflections on Bishop Konderla’s Ministry
“Bishop Konderla is a faith filled and steady shepherd. His pastor's heart is clear: he desires every parish and entity of the diocese to know its purpose, to make Jesus known. It has been a joy working alongside him. He is a deliberate leader who has a fair and balanced approach to dealing with the variety of situations that are placed before him for his consideration.”
- Very Rev. Gary Kastl, Vicar General

The annual Pentecost tradition (today!) at Rome's Pantheon is a moment of extraordinary beauty.
It occurs every year on the seventh Sunday after Easter. At noon, after the Holy Mass, thousands of rose petals are dropped through the oculus of the mighty dome.
As the petals fall, a choir sings "Veni Sancte Spiritus," known as the Golden Sequence, a masterpiece of sacred Latin poetry.
This is to celebrate the descent of the Holy Spirit on the Virgin Mary and the Apostles.
The rose petal ritual likely dates back to 607 AD when the pagan temple became a Christian church.
Sometimes you just gotta firmly say:
No.
Forgiveness *is* offered to you. Don’t resist it.
You are not your sin.
Your sin is not more powerful than the Cross. Your sin is not more powerful than God’s love that willed you into being.
You are *not* irredeemable.
It’s so easy to join the fragile, loud, fearful and angry mob that roams from outrage to outrage, burning and pillaging all in our path.
The leaders of these mobs point to the newest outrage and we run at their command; filled with indignation & righteousness.
In the meantime, Gods Word collects dust on our tables and bookshelves.
The voice of the Shepherd is there in that Word, longing to heal you and lead you to Heaven.
Should you pause and hear His voice, there will be no ashes & destruction in your path, but only goodness and kindness.
Pray for the grace to learn the voice of the Shepherd.
Follow that voice.

@Joeinblack Priest inertia can damage a parish nearly as much as priest addiction. No zeal for souls, doing little outside sacramental duties, years of treading water until retirement, knowing he still gets paid. The only benefit is seeing the parish revive under a new pastor.
@PaulinusOfTrier Additional questions could be included. When was the liturgical abuses were observed? Was it last Sunday or decades in the past? Was it the norm for that parish/diocese or the exception?
Oh Happy Day! Congratulations to Ariadna Valentina Ceballos Quintero, who was baptized on the Solemnity of the Ascension @SaintBenBA.
