"At first I was scared that the research process might intimidate them," said Libby Schnepel, the teacher who heads the class implementing YPAR. "But somewhere along the way, the students realized that they were actually researching themselves. That was an epiphany."
For the six high school students who presented at the @UofIllinois Undergraduate Research Symposium last week, it was all about that “a-ha!” moment.
