The Monsignor Patrick Anthony Folk Research Centre (FRC) is the vanguard for St. Lucia's folk culture, Jounen Kwéyòl, Mwa Éwitaj Kwéyòl & the Kwéyòl language.
We pay special tribute to many Saint Lucian women who have helped preserve and promote our history, traditions, language, and cultural heritage. With their dedication in families, communities, and cultural institutions, they continue to safeguard the living legacy of our people.
On International Women’s Day, March 8, 2026, the Monsignor Patrick Anthony Folk Research Centre extends warm greetings to the women of Saint Lucia and recognizes their invaluable contribution to the life and development of our nation.
Happy 47th Independence to the beautiful island of Saint Lucia! 🇱🇨
On this milestone anniversary, the Monsignor Patrick Anthony Folk Research Centre (FRC) extends our warmest greetings to all Saint Lucians at home and in the diaspora.
We also took a moment to honor our rising stars and the veterans who keep the art form alive. A huge thank you to everyone who came out to debate, reflect, and celebrate the genre that speaks truth to power.

The Msgr. Patrick Anthony Folk Research Centre (FRC), in partnership with the Carnival Music Management Committee (CMMC), transformed ESP in Bisee into a hub of intellectual and cultural exchange for Lucian Kaiso Conversations 2026.
It was a powerful evening of dialogue connecting the dots between our past, present, and future. We were treated to a deep dive into "Political Discourse in Saint Lucian Calypso" by Amani Mathurin, followed by the official launch of the Lucian Kaiso 2025 Magazine.
