Join one of our Vice Chairs at the HSR UK 2020 Virtual Conference between July 1-3: https://t.co/09M4bTHDJV via @YouTube. @JonHW999 is joining our Academic Lead @DrJasonScott in a discussion surrounding #highintensityusers including input from @nhsrightcare.
@nalwuk Sorry we missed this! There is such a need for this for those identified as high intensity users of 999. #LinkWorkerChat could really help us to understand how Ambulance Services across the UK can join up with link workers to improve care and support for this vulnerable group.
@shanekeithclark@JonHW999@swasftRightCare@nhsrightcare Keep using it though - this is being developed all the time. What you see now will improve over the coming months. You could also speak to the GP surgeries to ask them to change how their patient data is set up, to improve whatโs visible via SCR-AI.
Great point by our SW England Lead: Frequent Callers are vulnerable & complex with needs that are not being met with various reasons. Care needs to be individualised and person-centred. The SCR+AI will allow you to see whatโs been done to date. Consider what support is needed.
Summary Care Record+Additional Information (SCR-AI) increases the amount of info to support clinical decisions. The SCR-AI should help understand whatโs already in place to support #FrequentCaller patients get the @swasftRightCare/@nhsrightcare for this vulnerable group @FreCaNN
Excellent to see this work recognised. Frequent Callers to 999 are vulnerable&complex in their presentation. Good collaboration to address clinical need and risk is essential to ensure the right care is provided. Great work @Mcnally40! Glad @CareQualityComm saw your hard work
@Mcnally40@NWAmb_Research@HSRN_UK @hpsnooha Thanks for highlighting @Mcnally40. @DrJasonScott is our Academic Lead and weโd be interested to attend and learn more from @HSRN_UK to complement our the awareness of research to develop evidence-based practice across the UK.
Reminding us - Increasing numbers in in self-isolation so a good time to make sure you have the right phone numbers and email addresses of the people you care about.

Great to see alternatives to routine medical approaches being used for people are HIU service users. Human connections are a vital part of this work. Great work @traceyj62799132
Great to see the support made available to ambulance services to help add to the work done by each team to help and support and therefore reduce impact from #HIU patients Good luck @swasFT @BarumPolice and @DPT_NHS!!
Great to see tools such as this being used to tailor care to the individual. Ensure your care is person-centres and we can support patients to reduce their reliance on 999 and improve self-resilience.
@SIMintensive @metpoliceuk What links does this programme have with healthcare services? The MHCCC says for mental health patients to be decriminalised and for there to be better links with Ambulance and hospital Trusts. How does this link with those agencies?
Good pain management is key to providing the right care sooner and reduce the likelihood of the problem getting worse and therefore the need for further healthcare services and any potential wait. Saving our 999 services for those that need live saving treatment.
Paracetamol, ibuprofen, or aspirin? The type of medicines that you need to treat your pain depend on what type of pain you have. Find out more: https://t.co/lcxGLPtnzO
