Elon Musk is using Ken Paxton (the attack dog he has purchased) to go after Sam Altman, his top business and geopolitical rival. He didn't even wait until after the election.
Hey friends, I'm forwarding this as per Elon's request.
I think he thinks you are dumb enough to believe it, or he wants you to know that he is a disingenuous guy willing to lie to get a corrupt politician he owns elected. Not sure which it is...
Hey @elonmusk, do you also believe that 'the Democratic People's Republic of Korea' is a democracy because it's in the name? Or do you pick and choose which fascist propaganda you believe in?
@elonmusk@ThomasSowell When you have nothing to say about the content, you attack someone's appearance. You and Trump are one and the same, and that's not a compliment.
.@POTUS on @elonmusk: "He's a very good person. He's not going to do anything wrong. He's a very brilliant person or Starlink wouldn't exist and other things — but Elon will never do anything wrong. I know him very well. He's a fair person."
You can smell the fear with every dollar he spends.
For years, Musk has acted like the rule of law doesn't apply to him.
He bought political influence at the cost of what little was left of US democracy. It kept him from repercussions, but it also sealed his fate. Now he has to spend nonstop to keep the people he buys elected.
Elon's biggest fear is that honest people, such as James Talarico, get elected. Elon needs people he can buy, and he needs a culture where that's OK.
I know Tesla fans won't read the article and claim that I don't understand the difference between the maps Tesla wants to create and Waymo's HD mapping that Elon has trashed.
Read the article. I understand, and you are the one missing the point.
At the end of the day, it comes down to understanding your environment, and Ashok's comments about Tesla creating its own maps were about FSD not being able to recognize things like speed signs.
Tesla has always used navigation maps, and building its own instead of licensing them isn’t a contradiction on its own.
But look at the problems Tesla is trying to fix. Speed limits, parking and routes are all about understanding the environment, and FSD still often fails at it, especially with speed limit signs.
A speed limit sign is about as simple as road information gets. If an end-to-end vision system can’t reliably read and apply it, and the fix is a better map, then vision alone isn’t doing the job Tesla said it would.
Tesla’s fleet is now a mapping fleet
That brings Tesla closer to Waymo than it would like to admit.
Waymo maps a city by driving its sensor-equipped vehicles through it before launching service, and keeps those maps updated as its fleet drives. Tesla is now describing the same idea: its cars collect what they see, and that data feeds a Tesla-built map that helps every car drive better. The main difference is that Waymo’s cars have lidar on top and can deliver HD maps.
At one point, $TSLA fans are going to have to admit that Tesla's approach to self-driving shares many of the same problems as Waymo.
NEW AD: Have you seen these anti-Talarico attack ads?
Elon Musk paid for nearly all of them.
The world's first trillionaire knows if he drags the most corrupt politician in Texas across the finish line, Ken Paxton will owe him everything.
@ElonMusk: Texas is not for sale.
He is the president of the United States and he seems completely unbothered about trying to find out who ordered it.
Sounds like the @WSJ reporting was accurate. Elon went to Trump and suggested it. Trump only half understood what was going on, and Elon went ahead anyway.
Reporter: Who ordered Starlink limitations for Ukraine?
Trump: I wasn't involved.
Reporter: Did Elon Musk order it?
Trump: I don't know who did it, but I wasn't involved.
No swords or strings, @elonmusk.
I'd just like you to explain to Congress and the American people why DOGE failed so miserably and why you then lied about the savings.
Will you commit to testifying under oath to explain?
@ZacksJerryRig@TenaciousTek And I'm not willing to just claim that one is more difficult to manufacture than the other. In fact, I'd be inclined to say that the folding phone is more difficult than the Roadster – though I'm not 100% sure.
