"I'm not giving up yet," said Move Forward Party Leader Pita Limjaroenrat after failing to secure enough votes from the joint parliament to become the new prime minister today.
He stated that he will prepare for a revote. House Speaker Wan Muhamad Noor Matha said before the voting today that if a revote is necessary, the second voting will be scheduled around July 19.
Pita said there is still no plan in place for the scenario where he fails to obtain enough votes in the second voting.
He also expressed gratitude to the 13 senators who voted in his favor today.
