The spacey “weird” middle section of Whole Lotta Love is very contrived. Weird for the sake of weird cuz everyone’s doing it. Hendrix did the same thing on the song “1983” from Electric Ladyland except it’s authentic jazz, acid fused, rock n roll. It’s so much more natural.
