I told this Jerry person why I have an African name almost 24 hours ago and they are still clucking like chickens in a coop in the comments.

[Ahati Iheyinwa (Josalyn Lynch) 🇺🇸 @Freedmen1870]

Had I kept my search limited only to “enslaved Africans”, I would’ve never dug deeper and found that I have a 2nd Granduncle who was a proud Montauk Indian & early Civil Rights leader who helped organize for “Remember Brownsville”.

[Ahati Iheyinwa (Josalyn Lynch) 🇺🇸 @Freedmen1870]

I wasn’t finding any Africans in my research but I was noticing my family clustered in particular counties during the slave period, so I started to question what tribes were in these areas because only looking for enslaved Africans left me at a dead end.

[buffalo general's spaces account @1beingsogood]

from @tsgiselle336 space recording, do you take the position that @arthurwatkins gave these 2 misinformations:
1. more indians were enslaved than africans in the americas
2. indians were reclassified as negro by the institution of chattel slavery

@Chalana305 “…….Haitians don’t care”.

Rest in Love Mr. Freddie Jackson 🤍🕯️

He made so many beautiful songs but this one is my favorite. I was 10 years old when it was released and I can remember riding in the backseat of my parent’s 1985 Cutlass Supreme singing word for word 🥰 #FreddieJackson

This is why many need their status verified. We can demand change from businesses, but with state and federal work, we need authorization to speak on victim’s behalf.

AFLF can go much further in protecting our population with authorizations. https://t.co/CW0bjLknTz

This is another why we need to get verified at https://t.co/gW83t2ikS7. If race is abolished how will we keep track of hate crimes against our people?

Again, I hate raising money for the American Freedmen Legal Fund on a daily as much as you all hate seeing it on my timeline. At the end of the day, this work we are doing is a business to support our advocacy work for our people.

Thanks to everyone who has setup weekly and monthly donations. Over the past 7 days, we tried reaching 100 donors to do the same, but no one engaged during this campaign.

I have almost 17,000 followers. 1% is 170 possible donors at $25 each that we were requesting. This would be $4,250 a month. This would be a sweet spot for operations and expenses for AFLF.

If you believe you can support our work, donate or sponsor. I put the links in the comments.

There’s a pattern:

– Blur Black American specificity
– Preserve everyone else’s specificity (especially one’s own)
– Extract Black American moral & social capital
– Then weaken the source

Doing all this while claiming “solidarity”... But in reality it’s asymmetric collectivism.
