This sweet 5-year-old girl with her beautiful two-colored eyes and pink nose 🐶 came in as a stray in mid-June. She’s friendly, excited, and a good leash-walker. She earned the **best possible behavior rating** ⭐ and is neutral passing strangers and dogs.

Victoria can become quickly aroused in the shelter (jumping up, mouthy when excited 😟) due to stress. She needs an experienced home with patience and structure ❤️

Medically, she has an ear infection, dental disease, and a small mass that needs monitoring.

Victoria is a loving girl who deserves a calm home where she can thrive 💕

🚨 Appeal after dog found injured and abandoned in Plymouth.

We are appealing for information after a small female dog was found abandoned outside a veterinary practice yesterday [Sunday 6 July] on Outland Road, Plymouth.

Neighbourhood beat Manager Anthony Wilson said: “The dog was discovered in an appalling condition. She was severely emaciated, dehydrated, covered in wounds, infested with flies, and had overgrown nails.

“Her injuries and condition were so severe that there are concerns she may have been used as a bait dog or subjected to prolonged neglect.

“A concerned member of the public alerted an emergency veterinary practice after finding her. Despite the best efforts of veterinary staff, she was suffering so extensively that the kindest and most humane option was to put her to sleep to prevent any further pain and distress.

“We appreciate this is a distressing case, but we are determined to establish how this dog came to be in such a terrible condition and who is responsible.

“We are asking anyone who may have information to come forward.

- Did you see anyone with a small female dog in the Outland Road area around 1pm onwards on Sunday 6 July?
- Do you recognise the description of the dog or know who may have owned her?
- Did you witness anyone leaving a dog outside the veterinary practice?
- Do you have CCTV, dashcam or doorbell footage from the area that may assist our enquiries?

“No matter how insignificant you think the information may be, it could prove vital to our investigation.”
