Former abortionist Abby Johnson on Lindsay Clancy:

"We have become extraordinarily practiced at looking at a dead child and asking first what his or her mother was going through.

And abortion taught us how to do that.

I have received so many comments asking about the context of this email. I gave the link, but in case you missed it, here's the context:

"The professor had just finished overtly saying that, "The only people who don't embrace Marxism are those who don't understand it. If we would only read Marx instead of read about Marx, then we would embrace it."

Mike was motionless in a sea of nodding heads.

"But Marxism is against the nuclear family, among other things." said Mike. "Marx was all about deconstructing the foundational institutions that make up stable society and family like marriage and childrearing. Marxism confuses roles in the home."

"Roles in the home?" blustered Carmen. "Who do you think you are! There are no 'roles in the home.' Family is whatever we want it to be."

"Actually, God has created the family, and He says that it begins with marriage between a male and female who are growing together in love and who remain faithful to each other sexually and in every other way."

As Carmen leapt from her desk, she shoved her books away from her with the wild sweep of her hand so that they hit the desk in front of her and crashed to the floor. She slammed her computer shut. "I've had it! I-have-had-e-nough! I cannot tolerate being in the presence of bigots and racists, and I won't tolerate being endangered. I'm leaving!"

She hurriedly scooped up her scattered belongings and shoved them in her computer bag. Crying loudly, she made her way across the classroom toward the door.

"You've hurt my friend's feelings!" cried another girl who burst into tears and followed her out of class.

Everyone was quiet and looked at the two professors to see what was next. Interestingly class resumed. The professors did not seem to be off-kilter at all.

After class Mike went to them and said, "I am sorry if I contributed to the disruption of your class."

"No problem, " said one. "We allow for the free exchange of ideas in this classroom. Everyone gets to express what they are thinking. In this class everything is theoretical; there is no truth, so I don't think you did anything to apologize for."

Later that evening

Do not overlook the impact of porn:

"Porn is “a public health crisis,” blared a Washington Post article. “The science is now beyond dispute.” For example, “In a content analysis of best-selling and most-rented porn films, researchers found that 88 percent of analyzed scenes contained physical aggression.” Most of the victims were women. As a result, those who watched mainstream pornography “were more likely to say they would commit rape or sexual assault (if they knew they wouldn’t be caught).”

Today, the average age that a boy first encounters pornography is nine years old. By the time he is an adult, he has been consuming porn for more than a decade. How does that affect his relationships with real women? Time magazine reports, “Many of them are simply unable to experience a sexual response with a real live woman. They are only able to respond to pornography. In fact, they prefer pornography.”

When these men marry, they are shocked—shocked—to discover that porn has destroyed their ability to relate to their spouse. It has trained them to objectify the opposite sex. They literally don’t know how to relate to a woman as a full person.

The first longitudinal study on porn found that men who start watching porn after they marry are twice as likely to divorce. Other studies found that watching porn actually shrinks the brain and reduces neural activity. There is now firm data showing that porn is addictive, it leads to violence, it destroys relationships, it feeds sex trafficking and prostitution."

After Mike Chastain gave a biblical view of the family in a university class, a female classmate wrote him this email:

"I find that there are an overwhelming amount of factors that bring into question the socially constructed concepts of "maleness" or "femaleness". Clearly you aren't aware of them? You seem to think that this God of yours created people male and female instead of creating them with the right to be whatever sex they want to be.

You are behind the times and your views are hardheaded, stubborn, and socially unjust to people who are much smarter than you. You refuse to accept the fact that XX and XY chromosomes are not the only determining factors in sex. Personal choice is! Every person has to live their own personal truth, and whatever truth they want to be is the truth that is right for them. We all have a different truth. I have my truth and you have your truth. Your truth cannot tell me how I should live, and you should start learning how to keep your dumb ideas to yourself. Nobody wants your STUFF. Why can’t you shut your mouth and just let people be what suits them? Why is it so hard for you to accept the fact that you are wrong? You seem to be so backwards and rude as to even want to segregate bathrooms and locker rooms. Just who do you think you are to think you can tell someone what sex they should be, which bathroom they may use, or anything else about the choices they make in their lives! I’ve had it with hardheaded, stupid bigots like you who resort to ad hominem arguments. And stop hiding your true self behind being nice. I know you don’t mean it. And don’t speak to me again."

A woman has flown 1.2 million miles on Delta in the last 8 years.

She's a management consultant. 48 weeks a year on the road. 3–4 flights a week. She knows the airline system better than most gate agents.

She told me most passengers throw away between $200 and $800 per trip because they don't understand how airline pricing, seat selection, and rebooking actually work behind the counter.

"People treat flights like vending machines. You put money in, a ticket comes out, and you accept whatever you get. But airlines are running a dynamic negotiation 24/7 adjusting prices, opening seats, and issuing credits. They just built the app to make you think the first price you see is the only price that exists."

She said the gap between what a casual flyer pays and what a smart flyer pays on the exact same flight, same day, same destination is embarrassing.

"I've sat in first class next to someone who paid $1,400. I paid $180. Same flight. Same meal. Same landing time. The difference wasn't status. It was that I understood 10 things the airline doesn't explain to you."

Bill Maher pulls the numbers on whether Gen Z is really suffering an affordability crisis.

He starts with the $20 burrito, then compares their net worth to previous generations. The numbers are staggering.

MAHER: “Have you heard about Burrito Gate? ... A student had commented... a burrito shouldn’t cost $20."

“It shouldn’t cost $20 because it doesn’t. It costs $20 because this kid factored in somebody bringing it to him in an Uber.”

“You can get one for $2, and you could buy it in the supermarket. And somebody said they feed a family of eight on $20 by buying ingredients like we used to do.”

“This is from the Fed. Okay, two-thirds of Americans consider groceries to be unaffordable. Maybe they are, but wages rose in the last decade, including the pandemic, 46%. Food prices rose 34%. So wages outpaced them by the numbers."

“What we spend on food at the beginning of the last century, it was 42% of the budget, and then you go through the years, 1965, it was down to 15%. Now it’s under 10%, but including eating out more."

“Also, Gen Z, I never realized this until people started writing about it. As they reach their late 20s now, they’re getting much richer than Gen X was. Millennials and Gen Z at age 30, their net worth is around $118,000."

“Gen X’s was $53,000, like half of that. But Gen X never complained. You gotta love Gen X. They are the quietest f*cking church mice.”

SIDE NOTE: I will say that housing and rent prices are too damn high. But that also doesn't discount the fact that kids these days are way too entitled and think they deserve to have food delivered AND have it be affordable. If you want convenience, it's gonna cost you. Don't complain when you're on a budget and too lazy to make the burrito yourself for 1/10th the price.
