I am really starting to understand the value of consistency in research… whatever extra hassle or cost to improve consistency of a protocol is usually worth it.
@TAA_Madison@HousingUW International students and scholars and their families are forced to live next to isolation units. This reflects very poorly on UW's reputation of a school committed to equity and diversity. I'm seeing more commitment to gaslighting than anything else.
Just a couple of weeks before the semester began, @HousingUW announced they would be using vacant #EagleHeights apartments to isolate COVID-positive students. 🧵for what has happened so far, and how you can help Eagle Heights residents protect each other! 1/12
@heyjudka I honestly am always wondering about that... in my mind nature is just a bit too complicated to play God just yet... so faster "design-build-test" will yield results faster than rationally trying to get it right... I'm not in the field, so I would love to get educated on this
@sangerinstitute Hmm not sure if this is the best way to reach you, but your ftp links at https://t.co/dCBvUOoLq9 are out of date (should be /pub/projects/pathogens/...), such that the sequences cannot be accessed through the link. I'm sure many would appreciate if you could fix!
