"Unchecked, anti-social behaviour blights our communities."
Correct. Ask Braintree.
A year of Thursdays outside a church hall. Flags, cameras, women saying they no longer feel safe, a nurse assaulted, a woman assaulted. And the establishment's answer was to call them far-right.
You never lacked the powers, Shabana. You lacked the will. The pensioners had neither power nor tweets. They just turned up every week and took the abuse.
@InTheTrenchesUK Wow that was incredible ๐ thank you ๐ญ means so much that you see me, our community and our value in what we are doing. I'm forever grateful to you and your support. You always write so beautifully xx
Care4Calais is not a charity
ATTENTION.
Care4Calais is not a charity.
It is a political machine with a charity's tax status. It is the last friendly face on a terrorist highway. And it has been caught with its hand in the till.
Anyone who still calls it a charity after this is complicit.
THE MONEY
Start with the money, because money does not have opinions.
ยฃ340,092.47.
Say it slowly. Three hundred and forty thousand, ninety two pounds, and forty seven pence.
That is the sum the Charity Commission found had been paid into the personal bank account of the founder of Care4Calais. Not the charity's account. The founder's account. A private individual's bank account, holding the money of a public charity, and the regulator only found out because it launched a statutory inquiry.
The inquiry opened on 12 August 2020. It was published on 24 August 2023. Three years of digging, and the conclusion the Commission reached, in its own words, was serious misconduct and/or mismanagement.
Read that again. Serious. Misconduct. Mismanagement. That is not a quibble about stationery. That is the regulator of every charity in England and Wales saying the people running this one did not know where the money was or did not care.
And the founder? Clare Moseley. She has never been charged with anything. She has never been convicted of anything. But the charity she built, with her name on the culture and her hand on the tiller, was found to have serious problems with money that passed through her own hands.
Now the farce, because this is where it stops being a spreadsheet and starts being a story.
A complaint was raised about the founder. Who handled it? The founder's sister. A complaint about Clare Moseley, investigated by a Moseley. Independence on paper, family at the kitchen table.
The founder threatened to cut off a volunteer's hair.
Someone used pepper spray in an internal row.
This is the organisation that presents itself as the calm, professional, establishment-friendly face of British asylum policy. Behind the curtain it is a family operation where the founder's sibling polices the founder and disputes get settled with hair threats and mace.
Here is what the money section actually proves. It proves culture. A charity with a thin board, a founder with total personal gravity, seven trustees who between them have almost no other directorships in the entire country, and a quarter of a million pounds that was allowed to sit in one person's account. That is not an accident. That is a design.
And it is the first clue to the thing we come back to at the end: this is a movement wearing a charity's clothes. The founder is not just a founder. She is a co-convenor of Love Music Hate Racism. The charity sits inside a coalition. The whole operation is political, and political operations protect their own, which is why the money story has never properly landed.
But the money is the beginning. The money is the part everyone can agree on.
Next is the part that is harder to argue with, because it comes with a judge's signature on it.
THE CHILDREN
Care4Calais will tell you this is all about children. It is their best line, because it is true and because nobody wants to be the person who argues with a child.
So let us take them at their word. Let us talk about children. And let us talk about the adults who were passed off as them.
Start with the machinery, because this is not a few good samaritans helping out. Care4Calais runs a dedicated age dispute team. In 2025 alone, 312 migrants signed up for help challenging the age the Home Office had put on them. The charity prints a "new arrival guide", hands it out in Calais and Dunkirk, circulates it in several languages on phones, and it tells people what to expect at interview. Migrants describe it in their own words: it shows you "how to explain yourself".
Read that phrase again. Not how the system works. How to explain yourself.
Now the courtroom. Judges are the hardest people in Britain to call far-right, so watch what they did.
March 2026. An Ethiopian man. Care4Calais backed him in a claim to be seventeen. His volunteer told the tribunal she believed him because he "does not like making decisions" and had asked her partner "how to shave". Judge Sarah Grey looked at the man, noted thick facial hair, a prominent Adam's apple, deep tear troughs, and a receding hairline, and ruled he was twenty two. Her words: a "conscientious effort to mislead the authorities".
September 2025. A Sudanese man. Claimed to be seventeen on arrival in Dover. Care4Calais referred him to a council, which put him in children's accommodation. He had "established wrinkles on forehead" and a "pronounced Adam's apple". Judge Luke Bulpitt found he had "not given a credible account of his age", that his "willingness to conceal and to mislead" was clear.
And earlier. A Sudanese man judged to be twenty eight. Claimed seventeen. Care4Calais referred him to a council. Five days after arriving he was housed as a child. Later reassessed at twenty five. His asylum claim was rejected.
Three men. Three sets of wrinkles. Three children who were not children.
The state's own figures: 6,255 age disputes closed in the year to March 2026. 43 per cent of them were found to be adults despite claiming to be children.
Now be fair, because this is where a lazy post trips up. Care4Calais has an answer, and part of it is good. It points out that the majority of disputes go the other way, and that where independent social workers, not the Home Office, make the call, the number is far higher. Its argument is that the real scandal is children wrongly treated as adults.
Fine. Both can be true. But here is what that answer quietly admits: the age of a human being is now a contested legal question in Britain, and Care4Calais is a party to the fight. Not a bystander. A participant. One that coaches people on how to explain themselves, then points at the results as proof of its own value.
And the politicians have noticed.
Chris Philp, the shadow home secretary, called the activity "borderline illegal and certainly not charitable" and said the Charity Commission should investigate and shut them down. Zia Yusuf, for Reform, said the charity is "aiding and abetting the mass invasion of unvetted males into Britain".
Borderline illegal. Not charitable. Aiding and abetting.
And this is the part that should scare Care4Calais most, because it is the part it cannot lawyer its way out of. The judges are the ones keeping the receipts. Every time a tribunal finds that a man the charity backed was an adult, that is not an opinion. That is a judgment. Signed. Published. Permanent.
So far we have money in a founder's account, adults dressed as children, and a regulator and two parties closing in.
Now the part nobody wants to talk about. The part where the word terrorist gets used, carefully, and then never goes away.
THE TERROR HIGHWAY
Let us be precise, because this is the block that decides whether the whole post stands up or gets laughed at in the replies.
Care4Calais is not a terrorist organisation. It has no formal affiliation with one. If you say that, you are right and nobody can touch you.
What Care4Calais is, is the soft end of a route that has delivered named terrorists into Britain.
The route is the small boat. Calais to the English Channel to a beach in Kent. Care4Calais services that pipeline at the French end, hands out the tents and the food and the sim cards, and it is the last friendly face many of these men see before they get in the dinghy. It does not claim to vet them. It could not. It is aid, not border control.
But look who has come down the pipe.
Mohammed Yaseen. Went to Syria to fight for ISIS, came back, and turned up on the small boat route.
Abdullah Albadri. Carried out the knife attack at the Israeli embassy. Serving life.
Rebwar Hamad. A convicted terrorist in Italy. Came back to Britain by small boat.
Ahmadyan and Salehi. Tied to the Manchester Yom Kippur bomb plot.
Jihad al-Shamie. The Manchester synagogue attacker of October 2025.
Five names. Every one of them on the same water, through the same system, on the same route the charity owns the last friendly mile of.
Now the structural point, and this is the one that actually matters. The route has no documents and no vetting at the point of departure. You get on a boat in France. Nobody in Calais checks your identity against a database. You arrive. You claim an age, you claim a nationality, you claim a story. The Home Office then tries to work out, after the fact, who you actually are.
And Care4Calais, remember, prints a guide telling you how to explain yourself at interview.
So put the two halves together. A pipeline with no checks at the front. A charity at the front of the pipeline coaching the answers. And a state at the back of the pipeline that is, by its own admission, playing catch up.
Do not take our word for the state's worry. Take the Home Office's. It hands asylum seekers a pamphlet at Wethersfield titled "Understanding behaviour and expectations in the UK". Inside it, apparently, the guidance is that you must not rape anyone and must not have sex with children. That is not a description of a system that knows who it let in. That is a system hoping for the best.
And there is a beach where all of this becomes flesh.
When a dinghy gets into trouble in the Channel, it is HM Coastguard that tasks the rescue, and it is the RNLI that answers. The lifeboat pulls the people out of the water and lands them on the shingle at Dungeness in Kent.
And standing there to catch them, in a Care4Calais jacket, is a woman named Katie Sweetingham, the charity's emergency response team leader. She hands out water and snacks. She is the first English voice they hear. Her first words to them are:
"Hi and welcome to England."
Hold that phrase, because it is the whole thing in four words. The most trusted charity in Britain does the rescue. Care4Calais does the welcome. And then Care4Calais does the coaching.
The RNLI pulls them from the water. Care4Calais tells them what to say when they get off the beach.
Here is the sentence. Keep it.
Care4Calais is not the terrorist organisation. It is the last friendly face on the terrorist highway. It cannot vet who gets on, and it coaches them on what to say when they get off.
Not affiliation. Pipeline. Not hype. Highway. Not "the charity is a terror front". The charity is the smile at the start of a route the country cannot fully check.
Which brings us home.
Because there is one town in England where all of this, the money, the children, the boats, and the smiles, arrives on three buses every Thursday and stands in front of some of the bravest people in the country.
THE DOORWAY
Her name is Charlotte Khan, and she is the best thing Care4Calais has.
Head of Advocacy and Public Affairs. The voice on the radio. The face on the news. The person they send when the cameras turn up and the charity needs to look reasonable, professional and kind. She has been doing it for years: on the Channel deaths, on the Rwanda bill, on the "safe routes" campaign, on why people get in the boats at all. When Care4Calais wants to sound human, it calls Charlotte Khan.
And she is good at it. Watch her. She is calm, she is fluent, she never loses her temper, and she always has an answer. That is the point. She is the polish.
The trouble is what she is polishing.
Her defence of the charity runs on three tracks. Each one is smooth. Each one has a receipt against it.
Line one: "the real scandal is the other way round." When the courts keep finding that people the charity backed were adults, the answer is to flip it, and say the real scandal is children wrongly classed as adults. Fair enough, as far as it goes. But listen to what it concedes. It concedes that the age of a human being is now a contested legal question in Britain, and that Care4Calais is in the fight, not outside it, coaching people on how to explain themselves. When your own coaching is in the room, you do not get to call the result someone else's fault.
Line two: "these are just political attacks on charities." When Philp says "borderline illegal" and Reform says "aiding and abetting", the response is that politicians are picking on a charity to score points. But a political attack is only cheap if it is wrong. And the Charity Commission, which does not do slogans, ran a three year inquiry and found serious misconduct and/or mismanagement. That is not a party political hit. That is a regulator.
Line three: "any accusation is grossly defamatory." When the accusations come, the language goes up. Untrue. Grossly defamatory. Misinformation that endangers staff. Strong words. And yet the charity has an answer for everything and an admission for nothing. A quarter of a million pounds in a founder's account is not an accusation, it is a filing. Adults found by judges to have posed as children are not a smear, they are a judgment.
For four years, Khan fought this fight from studios and press releases. In September, she took it to the street.
On Thursday 17 September 2026, Care4Calais ran its drop-in at the Salvation Army hall in Braintree. Three buses came in from the Wethersfield camp. And there, greeting the arrivals as they stepped off, was Charlotte Khan.
Read that again. The charity that had suspended the drop-in in August over "security" concerns sent its most senior public face back to the door the moment the pressure was on. And she stood there smiling while, across the road, the locals who had been called far-right for standing outside a church hall got the middle finger from the men she was welcoming.
That is Khan in one frame. The smile, the lanyard, the greeting. And behind her, everything else in this post, funnelling down to a doorway in Essex.
Here is the honest bit, and it is what makes the piece work. Charlotte Khan is not the scandal. No adverse finding against her. No money in her account. No judgment with her name on it. She is clean. She is competent. She is probably the most likeable person in the whole story.
That is exactly why she matters.
Because when the regulator finds serious misconduct, when the judges keep correcting the casework, when the money goes missing and comes back in a private account, and when the whole thing collides in a market town, the person the charity puts in front of it all is a woman with a lanyard and a smile who never says sorry.
She is not the crime. She is the alibi.
Care4Calais has an answer for everything and an admission for nothing. And the face of that answer is Charlotte Khan.
THE WOMAN WHO WOULD NOT BE SILENCED
And across the road from that doorway stands the town.
Not "pensioners". Pensioners sounds passive. These people are not passive. Call them the old guard. They have been called far-right thugs for the crime of standing outside a church hall with a flag. They have been trolled on social media. They have been told to stop protesting and get a job. At eighty. They have been spat at.
Their names are Valerie and Chrissie, who marked their eightieth birthdays in matching tiaras. Ken, in a Union Flag bucket hat and matching neckerchief. Tony, who drove a London bus for forty five years. Lynette, who spent her working life in compliance. These are not cranks. These are the backbone of England, and they are being treated like the problem.
Four months ago a small band of them decided to stand outside the Sally Army building every Thursday. When the council put security guards on the door, the old guard moved across the road and carried on.
And the details that make people angry, because they are small and specific. The migrants come out of the Salvation Army holding up ยฃ100 trainers, kissing them, showing off. They give the old guard the middle finger. They swear at them. The allowance is ยฃ9.95 a week, while the camp has a gym, a football pitch, free meals, phones and prayer rooms. Ken, waiting three months for a blood test, watches a GP surgery open up inside the base. A nurse at the local hospital was sexually assaulted by a migrant she was treating, in January. A man was charged over an assault on a woman in May.
And in the middle of all of it, one woman will not let it move on.
Her name, online, is Free Speech Shell. She is the reason there is a record at all.
Understand what she has been through to keep that record. In July 2023, her own home was attacked with weapons while she was nine months pregnant. In January 2024 the threats escalated to a threat to kill, and a police officer was assaulted. The case dragged through the courts, delayed by a late request for an interpreter, with a defendant facing charges of stalking involving fear of violence, harassment and bail breach. Two years of it. Her words: "as victims we have been silenced." And then the line that tells you everything: "I will no longer be silenced."
So when Shell stands outside that Salvation Army hall on a Thursday with a phone in her hand, she is not a bystander. She is a woman who has been under siege in her own home, who knows exactly what it is to be ignored by the system, and who decided to become the system's memory instead.
She is the one with the camera. She is the one with the receipts. She is the one who kept standing there when it would have been easier to stay home. And she has done it without a party behind her, without a press office, without a salary. Just a woman, a phone, and a refusal to be moved.
She has taken it all the way to the national stage. She has been on GB News. She has grown from a local mum with a camera to a verified national voice with twenty five thousand followers. And she has done the homework nobody else did: in October she published a forensic breakdown of the legal-aid bill for Wethersfield, eighteen point eight million pounds in a single quarter, twenty one million on appeals, five point eight million on interpreters, a fifty one per cent rise, and one question the Government still cannot answer. How much has all of this cost, specifically, for Wethersfield? She is not just holding a flag. She is holding a spreadsheet.
And she is not alone. AY Audits, a London man with a camera, has filmed the arrivals so relentlessly that his clips have been seen by millions and reposted by Farage himself. Between them they turned a quiet Thursday in a market town into a national story.
And when Tommy Robinson came to Braintree in January and walked at the front of that march, and when he put Shell on the main stage at his Unite The Kingdom rally in May, the town stopped being a local story. Shell thanked him for it in October, calling him "a true patriot" and "a voice for the voiceless". The man and the movement found each other, and neither of them apologises for it.
The council has now hired private security. Operation Vanguard, six guards, three towns, ยฃ150,000, a three month trial. In a consultation of 1,500 residents, 80 per cent backed it. Eighty per cent. And still the establishment line is that the locals are being a bit hysterical.
The locals are not hysterical. The locals are right.
So this is for Shell, and for Valerie and Chrissie, and Ken, and Tony, and Lynette, and every last one of ya in that town who got called a fascist just for lovin' where ya live.
You ain't on your own. You never was the problem.
You're just the last ones left in Britain still askin' the only question that matters.
So go on then. Who you lettin' in? And did ya even check?
Cos it's us mugs 'avin' to live wiv it. So sort it aht.
๐จ ยฃ3.8 MILLION FOR WETHERSFIELD โ ยฃ2.7 MILLION STILL UNSPENT!
New FOI figures reported by the Daily Mail reveal Braintree District Council received ยฃ3.8 million in Home Office funding linked to RAF Wethersfield.
๐ท ยฃ2.7m reportedly unspent
๐ท ยฃ960k spent on services and staffing
๐ท ยฃ139k reportedly for a communications officer
๐ท ยฃ40k allocated to police patrols
The council blames Home Office restrictions on how the money can be spent.
So will Braintree residents now have the pleasure of hosting even MORE community projects for Wethersfield residents while local families struggle with rising costs and stretched services?
MILLIONS ALLOCATED. LOCALS STILL WAITING TO SEE THE BENEFITS.

๐ฌ๐ง This is Simon Brocklehurst, who "became public enemy number one" after slapping a giant Union Jack on the front of his house.
He has now been told he will no longer be allowed to volunteer as Father Christmas at his local shopping centre.
Mr Brocklehurst, known for years as the Sutton-in-Ashfield Santa, was planning to once again hand out presents in his handcrafted sleigh at the Idlewells Shopping Centre in Nottinghamshire.
๐ He says he is "gutted" to be banned from taking part this year, but bosses say his removal has nothing to do with his proud flag parade.
The 42-year-old, who unexpectedly burst into the limelight locally after painting the St George's Cross on the front of his home, has given up his time at Christmas to for the past four years.
Mr Brocklehurst first painted a St George's Cross on the side of his house last September in response to his England flag being ripped down. Before long, he decided to add a splash of blue to turn the flag into the Union Jack.
๐ซก He explained he wanted to represent the "freedom" that his grandfather fought for in the Second World War - and feels he his removal is down to how his home looks.
He told the Nottingham Post: "I do it all for free and I buy the presents I'd just spent a grand and a half on a giant inflatable snow globe and built a model village.
"They previously said I could do it and I was just trying to do a good thing. There are people that come from miles and miles away just to see me. I don't want them to be disappointed."

The mainstream media and establishment smears have literally brainwashed people into believing @TRobinsonNewEra is a racist.
All whilst those that sit in the top have watched citizens be abused, raped and murdered without any regard.
This is a fascinating read by Callum Watkinson, a former ITN field producer who studied at Cambridge University.
He first spoke to Tommy Robinson years ago, when he was working in mainstream media. Since then, he says he has done his own research and come to question the narrative he was once part of.
Itโs a powerful perspective from someone who has worked inside the very establishment machine he now criticises โ the same machine of mainstream media, journalists and powerful institutions that, in his view, has shaped public perception of Tommy for years.
Sometimes it takes someone from inside the system to expose what they believe is wrong with it.
Whatever your views on Tommy Robinson, I think this article is well worth reading. Make up your own mind. ๐

Persistent anti-social behaviour offenders can now face curfews or bans from town centres.
New Respect Orders mean they could also be ordered to attend drug, alcohol or anger management programmes.
Those who breach these orders could face up to two years in prison.
๐จ NEW: Respect Orders are now live across England and Wales
People who cause harassment, alarm or distress to others can receive bans from town centres, anger management courses or unlimited fines
Anyone who breaches an Order can be arrested and jailed for up to 2 years
Iโve just been released on bail, and the case theyโre trying to bring against me is an absolutely shocking attack by the establishment.
First of all, Iโm banned from central London, including Westminster, and Iโm also prohibited from attending or reporting on any Gen Z-style protests taking place in the UK. This is absolutely absurd and, in my view, nothing more than an attempt by the establishment to stop me from doing my work.
Secondly, during my interview, they were unable to provide any witnesses. Nobody involved in the Gen Z protests came forward with a statement or any evidence against me, yet theyโre still attempting to pursue a case.
My duty solicitor did little to challenge the conditions imposed on me and didnโt seem particularly interested in contesting them.
More footage of what happened today will be coming out soon. The whole situation was absolutely insane.
Wishing the very best of luck to a true patriot of our country @TRobinsonNewEra ๐ฌ๐ง
A man who has spent years being a voice for the voiceless, standing up for survivors, speaking for those who have been silenced and giving people across Britain the courage to speak out.
You have sacrificed more than most people could ever begin to understand. Years of your life, your freedom, your peace and the chance to live a normal life with the same opportunities and experiences that every British citizen should be entitled to.
You have paid an enormous personal price for standing by what you believe in.
Your intelligence, compassion and kindness are qualities that so often get overlooked. Instead, we have watched an establishment determined to discredit you, undermine you and destroy your reputation.
But I believe there is a reason they have worked so hard to silence you. Because you have something they cannot control. The ability to awaken people, challenge the narrative and inspire others to find their own voices.
Behind the headlines and the constant attacks is a human being who has given up so much for what he believes is right.
Whatever happens next, never underestimate how many people appreciate what you have done, the sacrifices you have made and the strength it has taken to keep going.
You may have lost years of your own freedom fighting for the voices of others, but you have helped countless people find theirs.
Wishing you strength, courage and the very best of luck.
