@sctop10 are you kidding me this morning?!?! @USMNT scores 3 banger goals, wins in style against a strong South American side, and scores the most it has ever scored in a World Cup match, and you have high school baseball and golf in your top 10 instead today?? Old man channel.
@OceanRidgePD (2 of 2) PLEASE tell them I said THANK YOU for your kindness and that, as promised, the Jeep is now properly tagged in Volusia County. Thank you, officers! You guys were so good to me.
@OceanRidgePD (1 oI want to report an awesome interaction with two of your officers. Officer Sasov and a female colleague whose name I don’t have pulled me over because I had just bought this Jeep and didn’t have it tagged properly. They were INCREDIBLY kind to me.
@Taylor_McGregor great job on SC. Humble and not preachy information from a grammar nerd: vs. stands for the Latin preposition (adopted verbatim into English) versus. It can’t be made into the form “verse,” though I hear that all the time. Hoping you will help my battle to end it
@RodKahx What a truly stupid statement. In fact, it rivals Trump in its stupidity. Indicting an entire nation because of one group of people? Right. Then be prepared to be lumped in with the worst loser in your own country. I have no idea how you came up on my feed, but never again.
@BGoodeWAVE3@KevinHarned IMO you guys are missing a clever wording opportunity in your new commercial about the predictability of Ohio Valley weather.
Instead of saying “it is” at the end, you should say “watch us“
Turns out the owner is Mike Gantous, former team captain and leader on the OL. Mike was there and came out for a chat. We got a photo. Figured maybe Cards fans might be interested in knowing he owns the bar and they can stop by to see him. Cool place with good food/local brews
@CardChronicle Longtime CC reader and Cards fan. I was in Cleveland (Berea, actually--a suburb) visiting my wife's family, and we went out for a drink at a place called "Mike's Tavern." My wife spotted a Cards helmet on the wall, and we asked the bartender why it was there.
The employee said he needed Tom's ticket to process it, which was on his phone. Tom handed him the phone, and the employee returned with a tag but left the phone on the counter.
@AmericanAir I have a problem with the way one of your employees in the Daytona Beach airport treated my 78-year-old father-in-law, Tom Kanuch, a decorated US Army veteran who earned a Purple Heart in combat. (continued in comments) @ClevelandVAMC@USArmy@PlainDealerNews
The employee said he needed Tom's ticket to process it, which was on his phone. Tom handed him the phone, and the employee returned with a tag but left the phone on the counter. In the commotion of trying to navigate the ramp on his walker and with his new prosthetic,
When your employee makes a mistake, you own it and you make it right. American's refusal to do that caused Tom to have to go to a FedEx branch and open an account, something that cost him about $55. American needs to refund the money he spent and apologize.
Tom didn't realize the employee hadn't returned his phone. He boarded and left, discovering after takeoff that the phone wasn't with him. When Tom contacted American, he was told he would have to send a prepaid FedEx envelope in order to get his phone back. Absurd.
He accomplished that, and on his way back he chose to fly American home to Cleveland last week. He is still using a walker to stabilize himself, and after he had already come through the gate to board, your gate attendant stopped him to tag it for gate check.
Injuries he sustained in Vietnam caused permanent vascular damage, resulting in the recent amputation of his left leg below the knee. He spent months this winter in the VA in Cleveland, learning how to try to navigate life with his new prosthetic. His goal: make it to Florida.
