@lembitopik The UK are paying France millions every year.
€10,000 could stop all of this.
Issue 1000 Gendarmes based in the coastal areas a €10 Stanley knife each and instruct them to slash every migrant carrying boat that they come across.
@Arwenstar We sit down for our evening meal, (I know, We live in France, but you can't take all of the English man out of me!😄) and she takes great delight in telling me what's on my plate that came out of our garden. Can't beat the taste of something that was picked an hour before!
@georgegalloway@BowesChay I'm a couple of years younger than you George, in our day, negotiations like this would be conducted by REAL statesmen with experience and gravitas.
Now we have 2 realestate salesmen.
What could possibly go wrong indeed!
@Honey710108210 At the start of my life as a helpless infant, my mum would feed me.
60 years later, at the end of her life I was at her hospital bedside feeding her as she lay there helpless, slowly drifting away from us.
I realised then that the circle of life had taken a full turn.
@miss_anthrop75 Finished a shift in the early hours of the morning, I was the last one out of small Police station I was based at. Closed and locked the gates, got into my car to drive home and the news was on the radio. Exactly the same thing had happened when Freddie Mercury died!
@TheBritLad You'd be crazy to jump out of a plane without a reserve shute.
Even if the plane crashes, those Teflon coated fuckers would walk away without a scratch like they've been doing all of their lives.
@Arwenstar They haven't stopped Nat, 2020/21 was a test to see how far they could go.
Since the the nanny state has been on steroids.
The idea that people have common sense has been overruled, local and national dictates are being used, 'For your safety ' more and more.
@ShabanaMahmood If you weren't in politics, just an average member of Joe Public but with a modicum of common sense, like the vast majority of the UK population. Would you actually believe the statements that have you've just made?
I very much doubt that you would.
@DE_Compounder Similar story here, I moved from the outskirts of a major city in the UK to the middle of the countryside in France 15 years ago. Just the birdsong for most of the day, woods and beautiful countryside on my doorstep. I've never felt the need for a holiday since.
@glenghostly Logistics. An authorised drone pilot would have to be fully trained, accredited, and have a host of other requirements to satisfy the CAA and the courts when presenting their evidence.
How long would it take to get such an officer to the area and then deploy the drone?
@chatswithem@JohnHealey_MP@hmtreasury Of course he knows that. They all do.
They never allow themselves to be in a position where they can be challenged.
@seumasabheinn@Secret_lake They've already been, 'In theatre ' for a couple of years. There's a high probability that Russia has one that malfunctioned and have already developed counter- measures against them.
@Secret_lake Weren't these and the French Scalp missiles declared to be, 'Game changers' when they were first deployed in this conflict a couple of years ago?
They don't seem to have changed the game and it would be foolhardy to think that Russia hasn't got hold of one that malfunctioned.
