I am a long term fiscal and social conservative and always will be, but our provincial leader Ford is simply a moron. It looks like he is cooking up another mini greenbelt scandal and rewarding somebody by allowing Barrie to do a farmland grab from Springwater. Stay tuned!
Not sure why people feel sorry for Freeland as together with Turdeau, working in lock step, have driven about 10% more of population into poverty since 2015. I find her actions cowardess, as in April she projected a $40B deficit. Any CFO missing the mark by 50% should be fired.
Shocked at Fed tax increases. Every time corporate tax increases we lose more good paying blue colour jobs as companies move. What business has increased employees by 40% as Trudeau did with Federal Government employees and provided same services? No one!
Why did it take Turdeau (intentional) 3 days to read an apology for possibly the most embarrassing parliamentary blunder in our history? If you have to read it, like he did today, it is just another typical crafted response, not an apology. Disgraceful!
@MikeSchreiner The best way Ontario could improve environment and our well-being would be to not build another highway, put hard urban boundaries to prevent sprawl, put homes close to where people work as we know there are designated lands to house Ontario's growth for at least 25 years.
@theJagmeetSingh Typical misinforned reasoning. Canada has the second lowest food prices because of efficient systems. Open markets create competition and when an opportunity arises, entrepreneurs come forward. Check out food costs, quality and selection in socialist countries.
Just curious how anyone thinks a 6% inflation rate is positive. Might be down from 10% but most people receive 2 to 5% wage increases at most. Until inflation is around 2% or less, your dollar is coming up short by 5 to 7%. Unbridled government spending is the culprit.
@margaretprophet The fastest and best way to help environment is not to build more roads but maintain what we have. Of course with the Trudeau carbon tax it will add billions to the federal coffers as more people move further away from their jobs creating more GHG.
@BarrieToday This land is underwater in the dry season. Because of development along Ardagh and CR27 over the last 25 years, the area floods and has killed most of the mature trees. A number of times the intersection of CR90 and CR27 have flooded. Don't do it!
@mmtcj@CP24 It would be even better to know what the efficacy of a 3rd shot really is? Since 2 shot protection has now dropped to 15% or lower how much protection do you really get with a third or now fourth shot?
The CERB funding sounds good in theory but a company down 30% in revenue is losing money and cannot top up 25% of salary. Why not increase EI to 75% instead for the next 6 months.
There are still beacons of hope and a desire to follow the will of God while enlightening the world. Read this written by my granddaughter: Little college working on big plans https://t.co/wrI3zfdIh6 via @CatholicRegistr
I see Innisfil is making another move to retain it's title of poster child for urban sprawl with its expansion proposal. There is enough employment lands in Bradford and Barrie to service any industry wanting to move north. Bad Planning.
