Is the US economy booming?

The most recent Atlanta Fed estimate for real US GDP quarterly growth in Q4 2025 is now +5.1%.

This is up from the 2.7% forecast seen just last week and far above the 0.9% consensus expectation among economists.

If this materializes, it would mark the strongest quarterly growth in 4 years, when the US economy grew 7.0% in Q4 2021.

The surge is likely driven by a narrowing trade deficit.

In October, imports fell -3.2% MoM to the lowest since January 2024, while exports rose +2.6% MoM to the highest on record, boosting GDP.

However, the import drop came from volatile categories like pharmaceuticals and nonmonetary gold.

When these stabilize, the GDP boost could reverse.

Q3 = Developer Readiness

We’ve seen this question come up, so here’s what it means:

By the end of this milestone, everything that will power QF mainnet will be live on testnet.

That means developers can start building real dApps for testing, experimenting, and getting ready for production.

We’ll also roll out onboarding guides and docs to make the process as easy as possible.

The idea is simple: when mainnet launches, our community won’t just be waiting… you’ll already have dApps up and running.

Weekly QF Dev Update (Aug 6–13)

Here’s what our amazing QF team shipped this week. From smart contract upgrades to major infra improvements, momentum is building across the stack.

Smart Contract Environment
On the protocol side, the migration from pallet-qf-polkavm to pallet-revive is nearly complete. Panic handling and memory allocation were reworked with cargo features, example contracts were updated and merged following CI fixes, and our ADR was refined with valuable input from the architecture forum.

Infrastructure
Testnet reliability and performance also improved significantly. The team resolved RPC incidents caused by DNS and archive node sync issues, completed a major disk migration to NVMe for better speed, and fixed Grafana and NGINX services. Work continues on monitoring improvements and eliminating IaC drift.

Specs & ADRs
We advanced on defining SDK entities and updated the pruning policy. Learnings from Anchor-style frameworks are being applied directly to simplify the developer experience further.

Numbers
In total, the team shipped 93 commits this week, resolved five major incidents, and merged multiple PRs across SDK and infrastructure.

Takeaway
Momentum is strong. Tooling is sharper, infrastructure is stabilizing, and smart contracts are getting closer to mainnet-ready. QF is moving fast, and we’re bringing developers with us.
