College football put Apache helicopters over Ole Miss and half the internet clutched its pearls.

Pat McAfee was on College GameDay in Oxford when the Mississippi Army National Guard flew Apaches over The Grove. He said if you’re not American and you hear that sound, your ass better run. That is not a policy speech. That is a guy who still likes this country saying what a lot of fans were already thinking.

Supporters called it pure football energy. Critics called it cringe, political, even a swipe at immigration. Same crowd that spent years telling us sports and politics belong together suddenly wants the military flyover kept quiet.

Here’s my take. If a National Guard flyover on a Saturday morning makes you uncomfortable, the problem is not Pat McAfee. The problem is you.

America First. Military appreciated. Football next. In that order.

Can someone explain how Mercer is #28 in RPI yet exclude from the NCAA Baseball Championship? Never been a top 30 RPI team get left out. They won the SOCON, won 44 games, beat GT. Yeah, stumbled in the conf tourney. But if RPI is the ultimate determinant, how are they excluded?
