❗️ xAI trained Grok on child sexual abuse material, a proposed class action filed Wednesday says.

The plaintiff, abused as a preschooler in the early 2000s, says the Canadian Centre for Child Protection found AI-generated CSAM of her on xAI. Her complaint alleges images matching NCMEC hash values were in Grok's training data.

The loop plaintiff describes: xAI's terms treat public X posts and Grok's own outputs as training data by default. Violent content is filtered out. CSAM is not named as an excluded category.

A high school teacher's aide in Carbondale, Illinois has been arrested and charged with crimes against children in connection with the 764 network. 

32-year-old Austin Knoob had allegedly been communicating with one of his young victims since she was 12 years old. 

The victim claims Knoob added her to an online server, which she described as a cult called “seven something four,���  where members coerced her to cut herself and draw on walls in blood. They threatened and extorted her when she refused. 

The victim’s history with Knoob went back for years. In that time, the victim alleged Knoob sent her money, gifts and sex toys in exchange for sexual content. 

The victim also alleged that Knoob tried to convince her to get a dog so she could perform sex acts with it. 

The victim claimed Knoob frequently bragged about sleeping with teen girls, including his girlfriend's underage relative and several students at the high school.  

Knoob admitted to the crimes during an FBI interview.

A Marion County Judge denied Knoob bail. He faces two counts of child sexual exploitation.

Then, she releases a database that tracks those considered far left…SO a Dept of War employee built a database to track American citizens based on what they think? 🦔Pflugerville, Texas just killed its Flock Safety contract unanimously after a resident filed a public records request and found 459 outside law enforcement agencies had run 1.6 million searches on the city's 28 cameras in six months. Local police ran 5,078. That's 315 outside searches for every one by Pflugerville PD. The city had told residents nationwide data sharing was turned off. The city manager ordered the lenses physically covered before the council even voted. Pflugerville joins 56 municipalities that have cut ties with Flock in 2026.

My Take
One resident with a public records form did what the city, the police department, and Flock either couldn't or didn't want to do. That's how thin the oversight was on a system searching 1.6 million plates. Nobody was auditing this. Nobody was checking whether the assurances they gave residents were true. It took a guy filing paperwork to find out.

56 cities have walked away from Flock this year and I think that number accelerates once other communities realize they can file the same request. Flock has $500 million in VC money and contracts in 4,000 cities, and civil liberties groups say under 1% of scanned plates ever connect to a crime. Pflugerville's police chief looked at his own data and wouldn't recommend keeping the contract. Every city still running these cameras is one records request away from finding out what their own ratio looks like, and most of them haven't asked yet.

Finland: “We’re building a wall… made of wind turbines with radar.”

While others talk about walls, Finland is testing something far more Finnish: up to a thousand wind turbines along the Russian border with some of them doubling as standing (well, not flying) drone‑detectors.

LUT University in Lappeenranta has already mounted sensors high up in the towers.
The advantage? At 200 meters, you get far longer range, and a dispersed network is much harder to knock out.

Sweden has noticed the experiments. The Armed Forces are skeptical (“it interferes with our own radar”), but the need for better drone detection is urgent after several incursions.
