@AdamRackis Having grown up with this, I learned some hard lessons. Design patterns are great if you know upfront how your code will upvolve which is imho impossible. The result is that they quickly get in your way… hard. 🤷‍♂️

@ForrestTheWoods It’s the lack of a stable universal user land api/abi. Everyone is just winging it to get stuff working in their own little (distro) space. Fix that and Linux would be way more popular on the desktop as well.
