【悲報】ティラノサウルス、また売られる【最低30億円】

Gusというニックネームのティラノサウルスがオークションに出され、学術界から失われる恐れがあります。

Gusは頭の約82%、全身の約63%が保存された、『民間が保有する最良の標本』の一つ。
体長約11.6メートル、頭だけで1.3メートルを超える超巨大個体です。

推定落札価格は$2000万~$3000万で、2020年に落札された"スタン"というニックネームのティラノサウルスに匹敵する見積もりです。

昨今は恐竜化石の高騰から投機対象と見なされており、博物館などの学術機関から標本が流出している点が深刻な問題となっています。
2020年には前述のスタンが、2025年には博物館が所蔵していた未研究のケラトサウルスの全身骨格が落札され、学術界から姿を消し���した。

また、巨大ステゴサウルスApexは＄4460万（約70億円）で落札されましたこの化石は幸い、購入者から博物館に（期間限定で）貸し出されましたが、むしろ価格高騰は促進されています。

これらの売買は全て合法であり、米国私有地で化石の売買が合法だからこそ、日本にも本物の恐竜化石が常設展示されている側面があります。
その中には新種の恐竜も含まれます。国立科学博物館のフルカトケラトプスはその一例ですね。

なので、化石の売買自体が全て悪ではありません。
実際、北米の博物館も多くの化石を業者から購入してきました。自分たちだけで掘るのは限界があるからです。

しかし現在の、一部の大富豪が学術的に重要な化石を独占する事に、学会は懸念を示しています。

実際、今回のオークションも多くのけがの痕跡があるため『学術的に貴重』であることをウリにしています。（だったら博物館に安く売ってくれよ）

化石の売買は原状止められないので、せめて何かしら、学術界にデータを残せる形を作るなどの対策が望ましいです。
全ての骨要素を高精度CTスキャンにかけ、国立博物館にデータをアーカイブしないと売買できないとか、その辺が落とし所かと、個人的には考えています。

売買の制限は、自由の国アメリカでは非現実的だと思うので……

Let me trace the timeline here because nobody's connecting it.

Step 1: Scrape the entire internet. Every book, every article, every conversation, every piece of art, every forum post. Do it without asking. Do it without paying.

Step 2: Train a model on all of it. Call it "artificial intelligence."

Step 3: Go to BlackRock's Infrastructure Summit and announce: "We see a future where intelligence is a utility, like electricity or water, and people buy it from us on a meter."

Step 3 is where you sell people's own knowledge back to them. On a meter.

They took the collective output of human thought, compressed it into a model, and now they want to charge you by the token to access a version of what you and everyone you know already created.

One Reddit user put it perfectly: "They stole all this data from us, the people, our life's work, creativity, art, by devouring the internet and blowing through all copyright laws. Now they want to sell it back to us in the form of a utility."

Imagine if someone photocopied every book in the public library, burned the library down, and then opened a subscription service for the copies.

That's the metered intelligence business model.

And they're pitching it to infrastructure investors as though they invented water.
