Principles: Individuals are the best judges of their interests; Moral truth emerges from the “marketplace of ideas”; Wrong opinions help us grasp right ones
@OzKaterji Shouldn't journalism be data driven, facts based with balanced critical thinking applied with humility so the reader can decide. So much is now opinion driven for maximum effect to gain an audience. It's become a shouting match.
Do Politicians ever consider their statements worded in opposite way around to realise how idiotic they sound. Does a PM have to say they oppose beheadings because it needs to be clarified.
The horrific attack in Belfast last night is sickening.
I have absolutely no tolerance for abhorrent scenes of violence like this on our streets.
My thoughts are first and foremost with the victim, and I thank the first responders, including members of the public who intervened.
@NicholasTyrone Nope think they will do well. Biggest weakness in the past has been weak midfield and hopeless managers. Now have Bellingham and a German manager. What could go wrong?
WOW. This exchange in the House of Commons reveals the problem.
Jim Allister:
“What is being done to stop the importing of alien cultures in which people think it is acceptable to try and behead somebody?”
Hilary Benn: “sorry, what do you mean by alien cultures?”
It’s an uncomfortable truth that those on the Left desperately try to ignore, but certain countries produce more psychopaths than others.
A well-run society must protect itself through visa bans, immigration caps, and mass deportations.
This unqualified bore says his secondhand opinions are “not up for debate.” Yes they are. At a university all opinions are up for debate. If you cannot defend your opinions rationally, either they are indefensible or you are too stupid to defend them. In either case you have no right to force them on students who have expressed their wish to attend a lecture by doing so.

Remarkable story in Telegraph revealing just how useless recent Tory governments were:
A secret Whitehall report found that more than £28bn in foreign aid and Covid-19 loans was handed to terrorists, hostile states and gangsters!
The misappropriation of taxpayer funds from 2015 to 2021, includes millions sent to the Islamic State and Russia.
Those responsible remain unpunished and the dossier was buried to spare official embarrassment.
We’ve woken up to truly barbaric footage on a street in Belfast. Of a kind you’d think you’d never see in this country.
For years now I’ve urged the police to spell out the basic, sober facts, as they have them, when there are horrors like this.
I don’t have any enmity towards Sikhs, but I am getting tired of seeing these foreign causes being brought into British society. Khalistan has nothing to do with Britain. India is no longer a British possession.
"immigrants do not suddenly become more trusting when they arrive in high-trust societies...the relative trust deficit may even persist intergenerationally. Furthermore, the presence of immigrants may erode social capital within the receiving society" https://t.co/ty1scHyKco
For the first time in 123 years, Argentina has achieved a sustained fiscal surplus without being in default. We are one of only 5 countries in the world in this position.
LONG LIVE FREEDOM, DAMN IT...!!!
“For the first time in the history of England, white British school pupils are now a minority in every single local authority in London, the capital city. The only outlier last year was Bromley but white Brits are now a minority there, too”. https://t.co/IebXlbjbzN
