Dear Bro. Mike, when we officially met at Charlie’s funeral, you would barely shake my hand. I made a point to be kind and gracious. I even said I appreciate your ministry. You never cracked a smile and acted as if I was some homeless guy asking for a dollar. You have a difficulty being kind to those you disagree with. If you honestly think you will be commended by God for this at the Judgment Seat of Christ, you should pour another cup of coffee and read more Scripture. You are the “BibleThinker” but you’re becoming the BodyBully. The Charismatic movement has an abundance of problems and abuses. However, the SBC has more sex offenders than any denomination on the planet and your many of your Reformed friends have “chosen” (see what I did there) indecent exploits as well and some rank heretical positions. What I do care about is the FACT that you’re helping to create and foster a “dig up people’s skeletons” culture and the LORD plainly says you’ll eventually fall in the hole you’ve dug. I had this epiphany studying computer security as a young college student that if you didn’t have to worry about bad actors, scammers, and criminals you wouldn’t need computer security and everything would just work together effortlessly and seamlessly. All hardware and software would just talk to all other hardware and software when and if it needed to.

If you extend this to society in general, you realize how much internal friction our civilization has. people trying to take stuff that doesn’t belong to them or pretending to be people that they’re not... and then all the time and energy spent trying to prevent this.

imagine how your car would work if car parts had to defend themselves against other car parts who were trying to pretend to be car parts they weren’t for the purpose of stealing energy or gasoline or whatever from other parts of the car. imagine all the security checks and configs you’d have to have in place just for the car to deliver power to the wheels.

I still fantasize about some future of the human race or some aliens in another galaxy who don’t need security and compliance overhead because they just live the golden rule or believe in karma or whatever, and none of their time and energy gets spent having to defend themselves against others of themselves.

We are nowhere close to that reality obviously but I still find it inspiring to imagine this whole other level of entropic potential where all energy and intelligence are spent moving forward.

God always judges people who claim to be believers first.
