I love hearing about your #EdFringe shows, and you're welcome to tell me about them here. I can't reply to every tweet, but I promise I do read them all, and I often review shows I first learned of here. Just so you know, I mostly cover theatre.
Actually, I don't think that's quite what it does. I suspect it forgets about your basket and gives you a new one, so the tickets in your original basket are stuck there until they time out in the ticketing system. This is obviously especially hilarious for a near-sold-out show.
It's happened enough times now for me to say with confidence: the *truly shockingly bad* new EdFringe website really does just randomly delete everything your basket every now and then.
Or if you'd like a gentler, more matronly steer to find your own path, Waiting For Elvis also closes today. An imagined conversation between the actress Margaret Rutherford and a nice man from Yorkshire, it's quietly powerful and resonant. 4* review here: https://t.co/vitmeHarxA
Today's also your last chance for A Xerox Of A Deer, a full-on (and occasionally foul-mouthed) puppet show about finding your true place and embracing the will to fight. It's making waves, it's all but impossible to adequately describe, but I've had a go: https://t.co/rUSriw7521
ICYMI, one more mention for this - last show today at Greenside George Street, 4:15pm. Folklore, music, visual richness; there's a light moral, but honestly, it's just a wholesome treat of a show. Works for kids but unaccompanied grown-ups are welcome too.
Sound the five-star klaxon: a warm, beautiful, joy-filled musical founded in Norwegian folklore, with superb performances, visual delight, and a clever narrative to link traditional tales. I saw it twice! 4:15pm at @GreensideVenue, but only till tomorrow: https://t.co/ZYyHJYwg9a

I'll be on the panel for this tomorrow. You should come! (Part of) this week's theme - how to invite reviews for your show now the Week 1 flurry's died down.
@AdamThornton90 It’s become Art, and I wouldn’t dream of implying that Art is useless. But in terms of finding your way to Pleasance Bijou Mezzanine when your show’s in 2 minutes, it does indeed have nothing to offer.
On a different point, didn’t the famous signpost at Pleasance Courtyard actually used to tell you how to find the spaces? Or have I completely invented that memory?
As of now, 12:26 on Week 2 Monday, my review-writing backlog stands at zero. This situation will persist for exactly four further minutes, so excuse me for enjoying it while I can.
Back at @GreensideVenue this afternoon for their official 20th birthday party. Reminiscing about the different buildings they’ve been in over the years. We all miss Infirmary Street terribly of course, but I have very fond memories of Nicholson Square too. But the world moves on.
One of the many excellent things about Lothian Buses is its consistency in enforcing that, when more than one bus arrives at once, YOU remain at the bus stop and THE BUS waits its turn. For the first time ever (?) I just witnessed a driver breaking that rule, and there was DRAMA.
And my first 5* of this year, Woman In The Arena at @GreensideVenue. A stunningly candid production in the style of a TED talk, exploring the courage it takes to find your true self. At George St till the end of the month. https://t.co/wSgIAlmF00
At @ScotStoryCentre, Flora Macdonald And Zombies - the tale of Bonnie Prince Charlie's flight as you've never heard it before. Shamelessly silly, consistently funny, yet played with a completely straight face. Check the programme - it's on alternate dates. https://t.co/pR8ABEV69x
Also closing this week - just two more chances! - A Murder In Motley at @GreensideVenue. A Shakespeare-adjacent murder mystery which poses fascinatingly deep questions about the roles we play. Well-conceived and well-delivered by a large and talented cast. https://t.co/7FX97Xx90M
Here till Sunday only, Sins of the Mother at Bedlam is an interesting spin on a Faustian tale. It's 2025, the Devil's a woman and it seems there are depths of evil even she abhors. A clever thriller which maintains the suspense till the end. https://t.co/RxCbtphWKB
I'm overdue a round-up of recent reviews. First time I've done one this year, so just to let you know, I normally only tweet the 4*+ ones. You can find them all here: https://t.co/0sgH48rz1a
Thank you so much to legendary @FringeGuru and @theweereview for this absolutely lovely 4 star review for Flora Macdonald and Zombies! We're back today at the gorgeous @ScotStoryCentre at 15:45 for our relaxed performance.
