A wild Division V Sectional Final matchup between #4 (D5) @apachebaseball7 (23-4) and @OHillsBaseball (10-11) ended in dramatic fashion, as the Apaches walked it off in the bottom of the 7th to secure a 7-6 victory.

Fairview entered the final frame trailing before erupting for three runs in the 7th. 2028 OF @AnthonyS_34 sparked the rally with a double, while an error and hit-by-pitch loaded the bases. A walk cut the deficit to one before a pop out left the Apaches down to their final out. 2028 INF @CalvinKepler2 then worked a bases-loaded walk to tie the game and bring 2026 SS/RHP @ArendElijah to the plate. On a full-count breaking ball in the dirt, Arend drew the walk-off walk to send Fairview into celebration.

The Apaches used three pitchers on the day, with Singer earning the win after tossing 2.2 innings, allowing just two hits and one walk while striking out one. 2026 OF Noah Shininger had a big day offensively, going 2-for-3 with an RBI, two runs scored, and a walk. 2028 C Hunter Miller also added a multi-hit effort, finishing 2-for-4.

Ottawa Hills received strong production from the top of its lineup. Leadoff hitter 2027 CF @GabeGrimm3 went 2-for-3 with a run scored, while 2027 C Will Hickery finished 1-for-3 with a double, two RBIs, a run scored, and a walk. 2026 RHP/INF Toby Stevens drove in two runs, and cleanup hitter, 2027 3B @JohnDenny27, went 2-for-4 with an RBI and a run scored.

2026 LHP Finn Genzman kept a talented Fairview lineup off-balance for most of the afternoon, throwing 6.1 innings while allowing seven runs (three earned) and striking out five.
