I had these symptoms for around 14 years:

- Heavy snoring
- Palpitations and random tachycardia
- Bruxism and tooth grinding
- TMJ pain
- Waking up with dry mouth and often a mild headache
- Forward head posture
- Poor tongue posture
- Unrestful sleep

Then they all dissappeared practically overnight

The cause? Sleep apnea

Because my lower jaw was retrognathic (too far set back)

9 weeks ago I had double jaw surgery, and the symptoms never came back. It was bizarre

Sleep apnea due to recessed jaws and narrow airway is actually FAR MORE prevalent than you would think.

I am a little swollen in the mornings around the nose/upper lip. I havent been able to eat solid for for 9 weeks, so my masseters have also atrophied. I also have another year of orthodontics left to do.

But was it worth it? YES
