Finished 75th out of 1588 teams in #Kaggle's whale & dolphin identification competition and won my first comp silver medal! Learnt so much and still so much to learn from this amazing community!
We've recently finished our research project on the validation of AI models in healthcare. It is exciting to see how the data science culture is evolving to better quantify biases and ensure AI tools perform as expected when thrown into the real-world. #NHSAILab
The #NHSAILab is pleased to share a new blueprint process for artificial intelligence validation, which is helping to piece together the jigsaw of assurance for AI used in health and care. #AISafety

Head of AI Imaging at the NHS AI Lab, @DomCushnan co-authors a new Nature Medicine article about testing the diagnostic accuracy of AI systems. Read it here: https://t.co/N9ImE5y8mp #NHSAILab
Francios, Francoise, Francis, Francisco... I am collecting them from the emails I receive every day and will sell them as NFTs soon. The ones who write it with a "ç" have a special place in my heart though!
If you reply to my email - which has my name in the address and in my sign off and in my signature - and call me “Ian” I make an immediate judgment about you. I hope that’s ok.
New on our blog: Applications are now open for the next round of NHS AI Lab Skunkworks projects. Find out how to apply and read about the new project with @gloshospitals looking at the impact of long hospital stays. https://t.co/IaVjBqyUSX
After almost 3 years @TechHummingbird, today was my first day @NHSX to work on AI for medical imagery. I'm really proud of what we've achieved with the HB team and humbled to be joining such an honourable mission!
@JFPuget@kaggle I found this competition way too short. I spent ages working on helmet detection on images in their original size instead of simply downsizing them... and it turned out to be a complete failure. I guess we all learnt about project management on that one, haha.
@JFPuget My guess is that they use this kind of "high-resolution" lidar for their self-driving car project. The 3D information generated by the photogrammetry processes for Google Street View and Google Maps should be good enough on its own.
I've been playing with the latest experimental functionalities in tf.keras 2.3 as part of the Kaggle Cassava Disease Classification competition. This could be neater but I do like the direction in which Tensorflow is going! https://t.co/ZJ90oVDWMV
I'm so proud to share our latest work on potato and lettuce plant counting & sizing in fields using drones. It's been a real challenge to write a paper in a startup environment but we made it happen! Congrats @MeliAndMelo and the @TechHummingbird team! https://t.co/h1paK7IFNU
