TCU got close to the mountaintop, but Georgia reminded the program how much further it needs to climb.
TCU now truly understands what it takes to be a championship program and Sonny Dykes is determined to make that climb:

You have raised the bar even higher. On behalf of Horned Frogs Nation…THANK YOU Coach Dykes and to everyone involved with our football program. Can’t wait to support you all in 2023!🙏🏼🐸 #gofrogs#tcufootball#tcu
These are exemplary young men. While we came up short of our goal tonight, we took so many positive steps forward as a program this year. The future has never been brighter and I am so grateful to these student-athletes, coaches and staff for an unbelievable ride this season.
Congrats to Georgia on winning their second straight national championship. They have a tremendous program and they showed that tonight.
Can’t express how proud I am of our @TCUFootball team. The way they represented TCU and our community is something none of us will forget.
Looking forward, we were picked 7th in the preseason in the Big 12. TCU’s first bowl game in 5 seasons. Had 22 wins the last 4 seasons and then 12 this year alone. This program is on a completely different trajectory after this season. Bleed purple or bleed out.
One tweet about the game and I’m moving on. Played terrible at every level. Offense put the defense in terrible spots early and often, and the defense never was up to the task. Georgia’s 2nd strings would have beat TCU’s starters tonight. Georgia played a different sport.
